Completing Guitar Hero 1-4.

DroosiesDroosies Rising Star
edited October 2010 in Less Rokk More Talk
Since my previous post doesn't want to load anymore, I guess I'll re-do and beautify it up some.

And again, This is just for GH 1-4 and Rock's the 80's. GH:Aerosmith is not included because Aerosmith is exclusive and it's pointless to try and complete a game in which 90% of the disc is untouchable. When the exclusivity deal expires, GH:A will be added. The portable GH's aren't added because they share a good portion of the songs with other GH's and it would get redundant.

If you'd like to see Guitar Hero 5, GH: Aerosmith, GH: Metallica, GH: Van Halen, or the On Tour series, here's a link to my other completion thread.

Completing Guitar Hero 5 and Side Games
Completing Guitar Hero 6 And More

Songs will be added once they are made official, despite when they come out.

Just doing the on-disc songs for now. With Activision copying our weekly DLC, doesn't make much sense to do it now. Perhaps when this is closer to completion, I'll put together a DLC completion thread. Until then...hurry up Harmonix and help me finish this thread so that I can make the DLC one. :D

Sure I would, every disc has songs that I'd find a welcome addition to the Rock Band library. And since my tastes are different from others, I put them all up. Who knows...someone out there might just want Dragonforce on Rock Band (of course with Harmonix charting it correctly, it would be a lot easier on Rock Band).

No I didn't count the boss battles because they're not actual songs, rather just compositions put together specifically for the game.

I still don't get the point of keeping track of WT and GHIII. Both were essentially developed "in paralell" with RB. So naturally there will be shared songs.

    I will agree that HMX's games (1, 2, 80s) should be tracked.

At first this post confused the hell out of me - Thought it was a Pro GH post. But I figured it out.

I would love to see most of the GH 80's songs released in RB. I grew up playing most of the tunes in live situations. Songs like Skid Row, Winger, Dio, Faster Pussycat would all be welcome fodder for the RB slaughter.

maybe you should add a 4th color of where the BAND has been in RB but the actual song hasnt. Knowing that the BAND has been in the game gives a little more hope than if that 1 GH song has been their only apperance

Even Rats would definitely be awesome. I thought HMX did a fabulous job with the bonus song choices in GH 1 and 2 but since then.....meh. I haven't even downloaded the 20 "free" songs from RB2 b/c there were only 3 I liked and they butchered the one I liked most.

I would def like to see most of the songs re-released from previous GH's, I do feel that some songs on the DS games should be included cuz I had a lot of fun with those, & while there are some repeats, there are some def good songs on there that are exclusive to those games, Songs by Queen, The Darkness, Seether, Alien Ant Farm, Fall Out Boy, Finger Eleven, Sammy Hagar, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ozzy & Freezepop!

But again, here's the problem....Of the 26 songs on Guitar Hero: On Tour, 11 songs are on another incantation of Guitar Hero. That's virtually half the game! No point doing that when there's only 15 original songs IMO.

Very interesting post, I usually end up repurchasing songs from the other Guitar Hero games that I liked, for play in Rock Band.

I just keep hoping for some The Sword, badly... The song was fairly poorly charted in Guitar Hero II, and I think if we got them in Rock Band they'd be much more fun... Plus I'm disappointed that they're gonna be in Guitar Hero: Metallica, and Rock Band still doesn't have them.

Other than that, it'd be really really epic if we got Free Bird for Rock Band.

They didn't. I think Droosies is just making this thread to show which songs that were from the Guitar Hero series have appeared in Rock Band. Which is pretty cool really. Maybe HMX will consider adding more songs from the earlier GH games on DLC.
