I like your list, I just don't like: Ayreon - Day 16: Loser

The weakest song on the album, in my opinion.

How is Styx not a non-Prog band playing Prog songs, but Pink Floyd and Rush are?

P.S. I think your list could use an Asia song. Cutting it Fine, maybe?
  • edited February 2009
You need more Mars Volta, how about Roulette Dares? Wouldn't that be the funnest track ever on Rock Band? At this point though I have accepted the fact that we will never see the Mars Volta on Rock Band.

I like the setlist personally (I agree with Queen being Non-Prog, but they do have a couple of Prog bands)

The way these works is one track per band if we were asking for track packs then I would not disagree with you

Styx was prog for eight albums straight, then released a few albums with some prog influence the rest of their career (minus about 2 pop rock albums)

Pink Floyd has 3 prog albums scattered throughout their career, and Rush only for Fly By Night (which is still iffy) til Hemispheres, which is a very short span in their career

and I was thinking of putting an Asia song under the not prog band with a prog song, but they really dont have any full on prog tracks, only a few half-assed neo-prog on their first few albums

I think for VDGG Lemmings would be an exceptionally better song for Rock Band. Man erg is wonderful, but not enough guitar, or bass, OR drums during the quiet piano parts. Lemmings would not only be guaranteed a tier 7 vocal slot, but there's more than enough bass, and drums take a front seat joyride to fun-filled pain. Guitar is still meh, but much more active than in Man erg.
