For the record, 25 or 6 to 4 is a 70's song. Besides that and Side of a Bullet (I've listened to it, nothing special), awesome.

Wow, some interesting choices here. I especially liked Black Blade and Dam That River.

    4/5.

    @ZosoBaron: Fixed.
@Skittles: Bar-ba-sol is awesome. I'll go find another STP choice tomorrow.
@Legacy: Can I assume "interesting" in this case means "great, but virtually unheard of by the regular ear"? That's basically what I'm aiming for with these lists.

Fixed the STP mistake, and added two more packs. And yes, I did just add a prog pack that didn't have any Rush in it; we have way too much Rush in the game, anyways.

Bump for great justice, and to announce the "Legends" set of packs: basically, a collection of really awesome songs for the instrument that gives that pack its name.

Bump for great justice... again. New pack and first album this time: A very lol-worthy Weird Al pack and Badmotorfinger for your fantasy playing enjoyment.

for the most part, great choice of bands, but for a lot of them it seemed like you were trying to include obscure songs

    There you go.

@Gowienczyk: What exactly don't you like about them? I'm open to suggestions.
@Fizzeler: Great song; I'll listen to my pick once more before making a decision.
@dragonanthony86: Like the Baron said, that was entirely intentional. I got exposed to a lot of great stuff reading other people's lists; I figure that there isn't much of a point to these lists if everyone's going to pick the same songs.

Biased to stuff I don't like, lolol. Seriously, a lot of the classic rock choices are okay but the inclusion of post-grunge and watnot makes me a sad panda considering there's so much better music post-1980 then what you put.

Meh. I like post-grunge, and I'm sure that some of those picks, such as the David Cook one, would surprise you. And like I said, I'm open to suggestions for better songs.

And after listening to Indiscipline again, no matter how much I love 21st Century Schizoid Man, I simply must stick with my original choice. I would love to talk my way through the phrase "I repeat myself when under stress" repeatedly. :D

Side of a Bullet is one of the best Nickelback songs and if anyone wants to say they suck cause they suck, you can shove up your ass.

Same with the David Cook choice. lolbias.

My other choice would have been In The Court Of The Crimson King besides that is what DLC is for ;)

No problem just surprised at the choice still you got some good Prog. choices on there

Sweet Lorraine (Uriah Heep) very surprised someone even put them on their list :)

If you wanted more Prog. I would suggest Kansas Song For America is a great 70s song :)

CotCK is also quite awesome-hell, anything by King Crimson is awesome. I may need a Prog Pack 02.

Listening to Song For America right now. Good, but very lengthy. Two minutes in and I'm still on the intro. But meh, guess I shouldn't be talking considering I listen to Dream Theater.

There isn't a single Indie artist on your list from what I saw. That must be fixed.

I have to agree, despite likely having different reasons.

Unless you stress the game being for yourself and people like you, gotta cater to all audiences.

Not a big fan. If you're going for obscure, go with obscure artists, not big name artists with obscure songs.

Which, actually, if you're going for that, by all means. But balance it a little. Almost every song is something obscure by a big name band.

Also, about 99% of your 00's choices make me a sad panda for the same reasons as Gowie.

    I voted 3 stars.

Not the best Maiden or Metallica songs (imo). Not enough modern music. Not enough variety in general (lack of indie...etc.). Nickelback? Besides that, great list.
  • ArmsAreLoudArmsAreLoud Road Warrior
    edited March 2009
For Maiden, it was between that or Where Eagles Dare. I love Leper Messiah, and I was trying not to use a song already in GH: Metallica. And as for Side of a Bullet...

And just for everyone: If you don't like the setlist, suggest better songs. I can't fix it if I don't know what needs fixing.
