Amazing Rock Band 3 Setlist

edited February 2010 in Your Ultimate Setlist
Here is my Rock Band 3 setlist. It is very long I know, I tried to include songs from all decades and genres. Yes, I do recycle some songs from earlier games but usually for one of two reasons 1. they are classics and deserve to be in the game, who would argue that Sweet Child o' Mine shouldn't be in the game because it was already used. 2. They have fun drums, vocals, or band play, remember that Guitar Heros 1-Aerosmith didn't have drums or vocals. Feel free to leave comments. I will make adjustments to this list later. Songs in green have since been put in the game.

Total Number of Songs: 195 that is too much right now, please help me in shortening the list by telling me which songs to delete.

Pretty awesome, but clear things up...Lay Down - Priestess is not from the 70s, it's from the 00s.
I'm also getting sick if hearing the complaints about Last Resort, it's sounds fine to me...

    Bad very mainstream heavy

Little to no lesser known bands

Smoke On The Water as the Deep Purple song tells me you do not know many of their songs

    Little to no Progressive Rock

    Little to no New Wave

Yep I didn't think people would want to see lesser known bands in a main setlist. As Downloadable fine though. Give me a few suggestions please

That is true, I don't know too much about Deep Purple I picked the only other song I know by them, I don't listen to them much so why don't you tell me one of their better songs

Okay, I will fix the lack of New Wave and Progressive but instead of telling me I'm lacking them, why don't you tell me some good bands and songs to use.

No problem happy to help :)

Deep Purple - Child In Time is one of their best songs (1970s)

    New Wave:
Burning Down The House - Talking Heads (1980s)
Spirits In The Material World - The Police (1980s)
    Love Shack - The B-52s (1980s)
    Whip It - Devo (1980s)

    Prog.
Trilogy - Emerson, Lake, And Palmer (1970s)
Witches Promise - Jethro Tull (1970s)
Bridge Across Forever - Transatlantic (2000s)
    America - The Nice (1960s)
Tuesday Afternoon - The Moody Blues (1960s)

Those are a few suggestions I would check out this list for some more Prog. suggestions:

There we go, added some of your selections to the list. By the way, my list isn't all heavy, just some 80's and 00's. Also do have any sugestions to make my list smaller? 203 is a lot of songs.

Dust in the Wind is a horrible choice for Kansas.

Icarus - Borne on Wings of Steel (1970's) would be much better.

Agreed Dust In The Wind would not work no drums

Smooth Criminal - Alien Ant Farm
    People don't dig covers :\

Switch it with Courage, or cut it altogether.

I'd cut out the Aretha song, because she belongs in Singstar or Lips not Rock Band, for fairly obvious reasons.

That is one cover people actually want. I'd prefer Movies or Wish from Alient Ant Farm though....

I'm gonna keep Smooth Criminal because then I would have to change All Along the Watchtower, *** on Feel the Noise and many others

Yeah, the Aretha song was kind of an experiment. I was trying to think of the founders of rock.

This is pretty bad, every single song I've already heard. You don't need to go totally underground, but half of these wouldn't be fun at all to play. Like, Slayer's Angel of Death is just going to break your strum bar. Try a song like Tormentor or Criminally Insane, where you can totally rock out to

I don't listen to Slayer, so I don't really know much of them, I just threw it in there because I thought it would be hard. :)

And you're probably right about having tracks that are too mainstream, I just thought of my favorites, should have probably picked more deeper cuts.

Well I'm guessing you don't like 90's or 2000's then because I think I have a pretty good mix of genres in those decades, how would you change it.
