Remember, think realistically before posting.

Oh, and negative comments *points to the door* leave 'em. Don't need to have trolls starting s**t, people getting into arguments and the thread dissolving into "This is the RBN in my opinion and I'm right about it".

I encourage you all to also support the RBN cause and email your favorite bands and share this info!

I would HOPE this is used by the people who control the masters to:

    - Led Zeppelin
    - Pink Floyd
    - The Smiths
    - The Who
    - Rush
    - MUSE
    - Coheed and Cambria

    and others.

No reason to exclude big bands from this. If it means we can get stuff previously thought unattainable (Zeppelin and Floyd) and more content from popular artists (Rush, The Who, MUSE, Coheed and Cambria), than I'm all for it.

I really hope it leads to more full albums being made available (this concept is the one that intrigues me the most).

I hope Nickleback doesn't get any ideas. :P

    U2? Is that even possible?

My suggestion to everyone is if you know a band that you'd like to have in Rock Band... Tell them about the Rock Band Network.

I really...REALLY...REALLY think some people are getting way ahead of themselves in regards to this service.

Can anybody (including major artists) upload content? Yes.
Will anybody (including major artists) upload content? No.

As excited as I am for the service, it's mostly because I'm really looking forward to what new music can come out of it...as opposed to which classic bands are going to take matters into their own hands.

But I really think people should get their expectations out of control BEFORE the service is available so that we don't get to a point where every week there's 10-20 threads complaining about "that indie crap" that dropped on the RBN.

Id love to see somebody like Trent Reznor get a in-house team and put the majority of his music out.

I could see somebody like him doing it.

    Or Les Claypool.

Ive sent out a few emails to a few of my friends that have bands.

I know one of them will jump on this, since he plays RB anyways.

The funniest part of all this is that Harmonix has a ready-to-go army of publicists right here on the RB.com forums who will work for free at pestering artists to jump on this. :)

    True....

But yea, it's a valid point. Not every band will use this technology/opportunity. Some bands may never want their music to be released other than through store-bought albums and possibly digital means as well (iTunes, Rhapsody, etc.). But you never know, Rush was reluctant at first to release more songs to Rock Band, but look what happened afterward. This may be the dawn of a new beginning towards DLC or just a way to experience some great Indie bands.

Can my band get into it even though we only thirteen?

    We still are awesome...

Can we submit it at least even though we just make up the songs, we don't have a manager or anything...

I want it all, (Yeah, YEAH!) I want it all, I want it all, and I want it now!

Adventure seeker, on an empty street,
Just an alley creeper, light on his feet,
A young fighter screaming, with no time for doubt,
With the pain and anger, cant see a way out,
It aint much Im asking, I heard him say,
Gotta find me a future, move out of my way,
I want it all, I want it all, I want it all, and I want it now!
I want it all, I want it all, I want it all, and I want it now!

Listen all you people, come gather round,
I gotta get me a game plan, gotta shake you to the ground,
Just give me, what I know is mine,
People do you hear me, just give me the sign,
It aint much Im asking, if you want the truth,
Heres to the future, for the dreams of youth,
I want it all, (give it all) I want it all, I want it all, and I want it now!
I want it all, (yes, I want it all) I want it all, (hey) I want it all, and I want it now!

Im a man with a one track mind
So much to do in one life time (people do you hear me)
Not a man for compromise and wheres and whys and living
    Lies
So Im living it all (yes Im living it all)
And Im giving it all (and Im giving it all)

    Yeah yeah
    Yeah yeah yeah yeah
I want it all all all all

It aint much Im asking, if you want the truth,
    Heres to the future,
Hear the cry of youth, (hear the cry hear the cry of youth)
I want it all, I want it all, I want it all, and I want it now!
I want it all, (yeah yeah yeah) I want it all, I want it all, and I want it now!

    I want it NOW!!
I want it! I want it!

If you own the rights to a song then yes.

(Buying a CD doesn't give you the rights)
