Nirvana and Soundgarden mainly for me. I am not familiar with most of those bands although I have to admit that Cat Butt is one of the best band names I've ever heard.

I would check out other stuff by Modest Mouse, The Shins, or Dinosaur Jr. as well.

Patton Oswalt isn't a musician. He's a comedian. That would be an interesting Rock Band track to try and play.
LOL...I forgot to edit out the stand ups. Sorry!

Love Battery is missing from the list and they do a great cover of Pink Floyd's Ibiza Bar off More.

The Fluid's Tomorrow would be awesome.

The entire Afghan Whigs Congregation album

    Mudhoney's Superfuzz Bigmuff

    NIrvana Bleach of course

Definitely want to see some Conchords.

Apart from that, some Zen Guerilla wouldn't go astray. Did anyone here ever play Grind Session, even the demo? They had a song on that.

    CSS! CSS! CSS!!!!

Also - before you all go getting your hopes up - READ WHAT RELEASES FROM THESE ARTISTS WERE ON SUB POP. With some of the bigger name ones, it's only a single or a promotional release.

I'm just now realizing this. Mostly I'm disappointed about The White Stripes.

However, things are looking up for fans of The Shins! :D

Don't mean to sound musically ignorant, but I've only heard of 11 of those bands because they've featured in Rhythm games previously or its the White Stripes lol.

I'd take any songs from those.

Afghan Whigs, Fugazi, Gutter Twins, and Wolf Parade would be incredible! I really hope Sub Pop actually follows through on this.

This is so awesome though! I never though the Afghan Whigs had even the slightest chance of being in the game, but with this announcement, it may someday happen! Hooray for "Congregation" being on the right label!

    Turbonegro

So many good bands on Sub Pop. I had trouble picking my top 10 choices.
