Guess Who?: songs whose titles are names (the idea is that the title IS a name, not just that a name is part of the title, so, like "Jane" or "Alex Chilton" would count, but "Jane Says" or "Jack & Diane" wouldn't)

  • LOL, kinda funny that we get a song called Jezebel done by Joan Jett, while we get another one called Jezebel, this time done by Acid Bath, just a few minutes after the former. :p

Idk if "dark" is the right word, but it is a song that was meant to shake up their image a little bit. And maybe if it counts that the scene from the movie that has the song playing features them jumping off a bridge, then I'll stand by it being considerably darker than "I'm a Believer" and such.

Not sure if this is acceptable or not, but I think Devo is a light-hearted band, because of the song Whip It.

Upon further review, I decided to change the Warrant song to "April 2031". "I Saw Red" may be about Jani Lane's best friend getting it on with his girlfriend, and "Uncle Tom's Cabin" may be about a murder ring, but "April 2031" talks about the apocalypse, which I consider to be a pretty big leap from "Heaven" and "Cherry Pie".

Mentions the death of a man, and also a love affair, in contrast to The Temptation's other songs, which are pretty light hearted. Also, in the Temptations documentary film, it played when it showed the scene of Paul Williams' Suicide. (Such a sad scene to watch, but not as sad as the ending of the movie).
