So is it basically on par with Jane Says on guitar? Plus undercharted hell of suck on guitar will always be My Curse. Three friggin dots my ass, they can wipe a monkey's ass with that.

And in Lakewood? Goddammit. We got three Best Buy's in a less then 10 mile radius and we get Lakewood...

Not exactly. Expect lots of on/off 3-button chords & quick chord switches, as opposed to the tricky HO/PO bits on Jane Says.

Good call. Only overlaps an hour and there's other 360s to use, but some of the equipment will be needed at both. Hmm...

    And...

    Hilarity insues.

You going to make this an "authentic" event like Beatles? Meaning give everyone glow sticks and ecstacy?

Full lighting rig, maybe 1 stage platform, and ecstacy only if theyre 21 or older... or if they have parents permission :p

As far back as I can remember... I always wanted to be a DJ Hero.

Baggy clothes mandatory? Especially those horrible Hot Topic pants with all those straps and colored outlines? Bleh...

So if there's enough of a demand is DotA going to be hosting DJ Hero tournaments at C3 as well?

I see none of you guys are as excited as I am about the RBN authoring tools going public, huh? Hah, it's all good. I know the James is on top of it, but I just downloaded the software myself and am going to give it a run. This is going to be exciting stuff...

I've already played Keyboard Cat theme on Guitar Hero 5. Other then that, that's all I'd have the talent to chart...

I was super psyched too a couple months ago when I got the tools... then I realized what a pain in the ass it was and what poor documentation was available :( Thank god The James has more patience and free time than I do! :D

Haha, yeah, I'm desperately scouring the web for any kind of tutorial but I'm not pulling up much. It's going to be frustrating, but it will definitely be more satisfying to get this completed the DIY way. :D

Sooooo Best Buy's deal for Brutal Legend is with purchase of game you get a token for 3 tracks. So possibly some kinda tie in maybe?

That's what I'm thinking. Likely "(We are the) Road Crew" by Motorhead, and two other songs. Speculation Time!

    DEADLY SINAHHHH~~~~~~~S

AKA A song no one can sing, but man does it sound sweet. Other then that I know one of the bands off of the 104 song soundtrack is a Double Fine made band so that will probably be the other one. Though we'll see, still want KMFDM (especially since seeing them this Friday).

Hey, speaking of KMFDM, are you going to their signing at FashioNation on Friday? I figured I'd let you know, since you're such a big fan and all. You can ask them if they're going to be in RB and everything!

We could always play it at Chasers with the vocalist signed out, as we did last night with the requested Metallica song. (Lemmy's slurring is one thing, but Hetfield's vocals are utterly inimitable.)

Thanks for stopping in, BTW. It was nice having a full band of experienced RB players... for a couple songs. How're the midterms coming along?

Oh, Hetfield's not so hard to do. You just need to remember the essential "-AH" after every sentance-ah.

Yeah, I found out last week. So I'll be there (plus my friend didn't get tickets and they're giving them away). It's too bad Dethklok is only doing a signing in Utah and St. Louis.

Plus I wanna know where the **** is Raymond Watts vs. why they aren't in Rock Band. I've already told hmxsean in anycase when he was here when he asked me what band I wanted in the game. Though I take it you're not going to either KMFDM or Dethklok still?

I Was referring to 3 Inches of Blood, Deadly Sinners and midterms are going ****ty because my Illustrator has crapped out on me and now I gotta go through trouble shooting.

Actually, a friend of mine fell ill with the Pig Flu and is giving me her DK ticket. So I'll be there! Score. I wonder if it gets out in time for me to make a token appearance at illegal pete's? I mean, the show freaking starts at 6:30.

Best case scenario is you'll be leaving at 11:30 I want to say. So is it just you going? I Know I got about...4 Other people going with me to show and I'm curious if it'll be like last year's show (AKA alot of nerds more then metalheads).

I have one, maybe two other friends going. It's hilarious to watch the kids who are there because they "love the cartoon" and have never been in a mosh pit before. It's great fun.

And what, would you say, is the worst case scenario?
  • ImBillPardyImBillPardy Road Warrior
    edited October 2009
It was awesome being able to single handedly push down a group of 5 people in one fell swoop. I Think that was also same show where some girl was trying to go "wild" and she pushed and so I followed rules of pit and pushed her back. She then looked at me as if I had killed and raped her parents and punched me in the chest so I gave her a "What the hell did you expect?!" Expression.

Worse case scenario is they take over 30 minutes to set up each set and alot of the portion of the show is waiting on that. Since I remember last year it took Dethklok forever to get on stage.

Did she scream? Did she cry? Only those that are born get to die!

I'm hoping for Murmaider and King Diamond's "Welcome Home" as the other two tracks in the completely theoretical Brutal Legend pack. KMFDM and 3 Inches of Blood would be nice, but Welcome Home has one of the best drum intros of any metal song and I can't tell you how fun it would be to shriek "GRANDMAAAA!" every time I sang the song. Who else are your picks, guys?

KMFDM - Free Your Hate for sure. Other then that, I don't know. Kinda want Children of Bodom - Angels Don't Kill because it's one of my favorite songs to hear them play live, but there's already one Bodom song in RB. Maybe In Flames - Goliaths Disarms Their Davids, Dimmu Borgir - Progenies of the Apocalypse, Accept - Fast As a Shark (one of the first full on thrash albums pre-dating Metallica? Damn skippy) or Manowar (Guiness Record holders for loudest band? Hell yeah). I Don't know, alot I'd like. Don't really care for Iced Earth (yay Civil War metal!), but wouldn't mind playing that either.

    Indeed! Happy Birfday to YOUUU!!

(that's right - your favorite 'bunny is back in town! and not leaving the house for a few days to recover from sensory overload in Vegas. I recommend the Rio for your Skanky Cocktail Waitress Dancing on the Machines Needs. Also, we tried to collect all the Escort Trading Cards. We got a few Uncommons and a couple Rares ... most were your run-of-the-mill slut though.)
