Rock Band Network charting groups

Please find a list below of the "companies" offering help with charting songs for the Rock Band Network (RBN). This is simply a list of those who have expressed a desire to produce the charts and have set up a web site to entice prospective bands. Because these sites have no connection with Harmonix or MTV games, this list is NOT promoting any particular group of charters nor does this list guarantee the quality of these sites’s craftsmanship. This is simply an informational list to help bands find charting groups to help in their endeavors. The order in which they are seen is in no way indicative of a ranking as to which group is preferred or better qualified.

Please NOTE: This list has been split into two pages, Post #1 and Post #2. If you represent a band looking for someone to chart your songs please be sure to look over both pages.

Please NOTE: Harmonix's policy concerning authoring groups is as follows:

Our official policy regarding authoring companies, which has just been drafted and may be altered in the future, is as follows:

Companies may indicate, in a descriptive manner, that they provide authoring services for the Rock Band Network on their website if they (1) have accepted the end user agreement for the Magma(TM) software and (2) post the following notice prominently on their website: “This site is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Harmonix Music Systems Inc., MTV Networks or their affiliates.”

The intention of these guidelines is to allow companies to promote their role in the Rock Band Network by accurately describing their services, while maintaining a clear distinction between Harmonix/MTV and the authoring companies. Harmonix/MTV generally does not endorse any authoring companies, and we don’t want any confusion in the minds of the customers on that point. We reserve all rights, and nothing in this policy is intended to, nor shall grant, any trademark licenses.

Hopefully this clears up some of the confusion. If anyone has any questions, or would like further clarification, please email creators_support@rockband.com

Please look at the list on RockBandAide, since I am no longer updating this list:

The world is more connected now then ever. This allows us to share our skills with that world. We are able to work with any band that has their own music and dreams to be heard. You supply the song, we handle the rest. We are a small group at this time, but have the hopes to grow as this new medium grows. We are a few individuals working side by side to get the music heard. There are many companies out there that can help and, if you don't choose us, please choose someone or get yourself on the network. Here at Interactive Music Productions we believe nothing is more important than being heard. See our portfolio here

Hey Sayburr, why don't you in the future make a section in this thread for independent charters. Like single people who chart songs, I believe we will start to get those as soon as public beta is released.

I think those who are going through the process with a "business model" in mind would be the best for bands and labels.

Yeah, don't worry about all the independents, just keep pushing forward the big names until there's nothing left for us. We don't mind. We do want to all chart for our favorite bands, but it's unreasonable for us to think that our lack of a "business model" would allow us to ever accomplish that. I apologize for being so out of line.

Being entirely honest, I am sorry for being so bitter, but being as this is one of my few hobbies and only dreams, I don't want to be constantly told by bands that they'd rather go with the option of a company filled with a bunch of guys that had a third of a year's advantage to set up a company and prepare everything. I know some people won't be interested, but I'm very afraid about having no one accept my offers someday. I want to be able to put a hobby of mine to use for once.

Dont be discouraged by not having a company. Theres going to be plenty of bands seeking help with this. I've already turned down 2 local bands cuz at first I'm going to focus on learning the process and charting my own stuff

I'm getting into the RBN game, check my blog www.MyGGGo.com post for details http://mygggo.com/2009/08/mygggo-now-producing-songs-for-rock-band-network/. Feel free to add me to the list. We are a group of 4 software developers, musicians, producers, and RB players too, who are getting into RBN as a hobby. It closely relates to things we already do, and would love to experiment with some bands music to get them into RBN. We've paid all the costs to get in the network, and not looking to charge or make money. This is a hobby and fun for us. Hit us up if you are interested. We are already working with Suspicious Hooligans (http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=52177366256) and Innerfuze (http://www.innerfuze.com/).

No offense but I have major doubts about the credibility of your "LLC". Did you register as an LLC in your state? Are you even 18?

O rly? Then what's this all about (directly copied from your site, all spelling errors are yours):
By Submitting Your Content to RBN Design, LLC, you relanquish all rights to monentary gain resulted from RBN,
Relinquish all monetary gains resulted from RBN? I don't think so.

If you actually registered this as an LLC, you're going to get sued for Trade Mark Infringement. You can't use "Rock Band" in a business name, because it's Trade Marked.

Also, you can't use Rock Band Network, either, cause guess what? That's also Trade Marked.

Good luck. I'm sure HMX isn't going to shut you down. I swear.

Never Say Die is a group of experts in
mastery of the game, film directing
    audio mixing and recording, animation,
    lighting techs, and computer specialists.
Not to mention we all are fans and avid Rock Band players.

We all share a common interest in darker and louder music. From Metal, and many of its sub genres... Goth Metal, Death Metal, Thrash, Symphonic to Punk, Post - Punk, Goth and Industrial. Music that has been a part of our daily lives. We feel that this genre of music has been put to the way side by the game , that when this opens up , we will jump at the chance to help get the music we love out there.

Welcome to the mix Scott!!! there is soooo many bands around the world looking to get into the RBN there is TOTALY room for anyone interested in doing this for real and doing it properly with an eye towards quality! We all benefit when there's competition and we have a chance to make sure we help each other thereby showing the world that competition doesnt have to be cut throat. Which would make the "suits" have a heart attack...

We have 3 tracks ready for charting from Boston indie artist Innerfuze (electronica -- no vox), and plan to start working on Suspicious Hooligans (hip-hop/rock) later this year. Best tip I can give you right now is to stop using Feedback and start using Reaper. Feedback simply cannot do everything that is required of a Rock Band song and you would have to use Reaper (or something comparable) eventually.

    Grybo Productions
When the initial excitement of the Rock Band Network announcement finally sunk in, we knew that there would be bands interested in getting their music in Rock Band, but might not have the knowledge to make that happen. We are a small company, dedicated to exploring interactive music, gaming, and new business models. We pride ourselves on faithful and fun music translations. You'll always know who you are dealing with here, we like to keep it personal. No corporate art in the offices, only limited-edition, silk-screen rock posters ;-) We love to talk about music and video games. Drop us a line.

Hey guys, I'm an audio engineer in New York, and an avid Rockband player / gamer. I'm mostly into Rock / Indie music, and I'm really excited about doing charting for RBN. Still waiting to get into the beta, but I've been talking to a few bands and can't wait to get started. I set up this site in the meantime, but it still needs a lot of work (new logo without harmonix's logo / more details) But here it is:

I don't think you can use the name Rock Band (even without the logo), as another charting group was originally doing that and they got a letter from MTV Games telling them to change it.

Yeah we had rockbandcreate.com and got a cease and desist notice from MTV Networks you are going to have to pull down the rock band logo and turn over that domain to them and if they dont serve you then I would have grounds for suit against them (for singling me out) best to play it safe and come up with a different domain and logo... you dont want to hurt your chances of getting into the RBN because of a copyright infringement issue...
