    - Songs with a rhythym guitar track will be charted twice on guitar and the player will be able to choose between lead, rhythym and bass in quickplay.

    - A new vocal mechanic will be introduced that will allow for singing in the style of death and black metal rather than just having a flat line on the bottom of the chart.

    - The double-kicker will be introduced to Rock Band, allowing for more accurate charting of some drum tracks.

    - The player can choose to play custom setlists with small breaks in between songs as it is in Rock Band 2 or gapless, to allow for seamless transitioning between songs when albums are released for downloadable content.

Pretty good so far. Better choices are need for Cannibal Corpse, Satyricon, and Mayhem. You must add Death, Morbid Angel, and Carcass.

Don't worry, Death is coming. I may change the Satyricon song, but I'm keeping the CC one. I don't know about Mayhem yet.

Needs more black metal, especially from the more atmospheric varieties. Let's get some Wolves in the Throne Room, Weakling, Woe, Cobalt, Krallice, Drudkh, Fen, and/or Darkestrah.

Better than I expected, but still several artists I have distastes for. Also, some questionable song choices from artists like Diablo Swing Orchestra, Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Mastodon, Opeth, Alestorm, and At the Gates. Not always bad songs, but those bands have much better ones out there.

Also, on Kylesa's last two albums (Static Tensions and Time Will Fuse It's Worth), they've used two drummers. It might be better to select a song where they only used one.

Also, we need to get some more pure death metal and at least one non-melodic Swedish death metal song.

I would buy this game if it existed , but it would be a bit dissapointing imo

Theres a whole lot of extremely obscure stuff that I think is mostly unnessecary , and alot of well known and good metal bands that are missing for some reason

Then with alot of the bands I do like on the list I think the songs you picked for them are just not great song choices

Nothing on there is extremely obscure. Not even close. You just have a very limited window of the types of "metal" you listen to.

Also, since it's got melodic metalcore and deathcore, should probably throw in some grindcore, deathgrind, goregrind, metallic hardcore, and/or metalcore on there too. And definitely some crossover-thrash.

I know it needs more black metal. It just happens to be one of the genres I haven't went too deep into. What would you recommend for the bands you said had questionable song choices? I simply used those songs because they were my favorites on each album, and of course because they would work well in Rock Band, except maybe The Last Baron because it's 13 minutes long. I'll change that one.

I'll try and throw another metalcore song in there, and when I started the list I planned on having a Napalm Death song to cover grindcore. I don't know what I will use for goregrind since I can't stand that genre and have barely touched on it.

Just a few examples , most people have honestly never heard of those bands and there are alot more on this list that follow suit

To be considered mainstream in the world of metal I would say you have to at least get press coverage by the likes of things like FUSE , MTV2 , Revolver magazine , etc. Those bands and many others I've never even heard of , they get absolutley no attention from any media sources so how are they NOT obscure?

If this was a real RB game those songs would not really be helping move the discs off shelves tbh

However , things from this list that most metal fans have heard of* would actually be likely helping those discs move off of shelves

*(Avenged sevenfold , Amon amarth , Mastodon , Cannibal corpse , The black dahlia murder , Disturbed , Iced earth , Job for a cowboy , Metallica ,Dethklok , Dream theater , Opeth , Nightwish , Megadeth , Dio , At the gates, Slipknot , BTBAM , Pantera , Devildriver , Dimmu borgir , Lacuna coil etc etc etc you get the point)

I suggest Type O Negative for Gothic Metal and Cynic for Prog Metal

Do you remember the 20 free artists for Rock Band 2? Hardly anybody had heard of them either. I'm saving the really unknown stuff for those 20 songs. And I used a few relativley unpopular bands just to introduce
    new artists to people.

Edit: I'm putting in Cynic as well.

I'd say take "Balrog Boogie," "A Tap Dancer's Dilemma," or "Poetic Pitbull Revolutions" for Diablo Swing Orchestra.

"The Four Horsemen," "Whiplash," "Creeping Death," or "Wherever I May Roam" for Metallica.

"Hangar 18," "Last Rites/Loved to Death," "Holy Wars... The Punishment Due," or "Tornado of Souls" for Megadeth.

"Aces High" (studio), "Phantom of the Opera," or "Remember Tomorrow" for Iron Maiden.

"Blood & Thunder," "Bladecatcher," "Crusher Destroyer," or "Divinations" for Mastodon.

"Demon of the Fall," "Porcelain Heart," "Blackwater Park," or "Ghosts of Perdition" for Opeth.

"Captain Morgan's Revenge," or "Keelhaulded" for Alestorm.

Lots of songs, but particularly "Kingdom Gone" for At the Gates.

I'll use Wherever I May Roam instead of Through The Never I guess. Hangar 18 for Megadeth. I changed the Mastodon song to Divinations, I wouldn't use Bladecatcher because of the obscure vocals. I think I'll keep the Opeth and At The gates songs but I'll change Alestorm too.

Alright, Jex Thoth is obscure. I missed them. The other two are not though. Bongzilla and Sleepytime Gorilla Museum are among the larger bands in their respective genres. Particularly SGM, who's probably the most famous band in their particular brand of metal.

So the entire list should be composed of melodic metalcore, deathcore, and the big four of thrash?

No , I'm just saying plenty of very notable metal bands are still missing from this list

They don't have to be those genres , for instance Amon amarth , Gojira , Iced earth , etc would still be moving discs off the shelf because they are mainstream enough to where plenty of people know and like them

I would say the (missing from this list) (and not metalcore or deathcore or big 4 thrash bands) Children of bodom , Arch enemy , Arsis , Carcass , etc would all be considered mainstream enough to be helping the game sell

A few obscure things is fine , but I read alot more than just the 4 I posted as being obscure , I'd say about at least 30% of this whole list would be completely unknown to the ->average<- metal fan (Not you , encyclopedia of music guy)

You got me there, I missed those four. Though I was planning to add Carcass. I might remove some of the songs from the main setlist and make them part of the 20 free songs. I also just realized that I don't have nearly enough glam metal.

Serious Lack of Helloween and/or Gamma Ray. What troubles me is you have Iced Earth and Demons and Wizard, but you don't have Blind Gaurdian.
