Wondering if getting the $60 version of Reaper will make it any different in creating Rock Band tracks. I already have a great studio and I'm trying to get Reaper just for Rock Band use.

There is only one version of REAPER. We offer two licenses, depending on how you use it.

    $225: full commercial license.
    $60: discounted license.

You may use the discounted license if any of the following is true:

You are an individual, using REAPER only for personal use.
You are an individual or business, using REAPER for commercial use, and the yearly gross revenue does not exceed USD $20,000.
You are an educational or non-profit organization.
So unless you believe you're going to be selling more than 20,000 songs a year, the discounted license is justified and the product is identical.

Closer to 60,000 a year actually, assuming your songs are priced at $1 each. You only get $0.30 per $1 track sold, so it would take 66,667 sales to make $20,000 ;)
