Alrighty. I know that this isnt the most popular genre of music. That being said, I still think It would be a great seller due to the over the top guitar work and vocals. Fun factor will be high, as well as replayability.

Some noteables...
Not everyone will agree on who is what. Like it or not some bands listed are not full on glam bands, but rather have the roots, and or influance on the genre.
Please post your thoughts and DLC selections that you think would fit in with the game.

... no. These do not fit the theme at all. This is why we have artists like Roxy Music and Skyhooks, who would fit the theme.

I did read the top, and it's a cheap way to weasel out of your theme. If you're going to do it, do it right.

    And
Why would I try to weasel out of My theme?

Like i said Influences count. Like it or not.

Future DLC would also include them. ya know since it is my theme and all.

Dude whether you like it or not, Your opinion is just that, an opinion.

In the United States, many fans credited that the movement on the Sunset Strip was kick-started largely by Van Halen

During the early 1980s glam metal became extremely popular. The first wave of glam metal bands included Van Halen, Quiet Riot, W.A.S.P., Twisted Sister, Mötley Crüe, Dokken, Ratt and Stryper. Their music was a traditional heavy metal style combined with a glam rock look. The younger contemporaries who would eventually emerge, like Warrant and Poison, had a pop rock influenced hard rock musical style that ultimately became synonymous with the glam metal look.

Also listed as influances from the band themselves...
    Influences
    Grand Funk Railroad
    Jimi Hendrix
    Cactus
    Aerosmith
    KISS
    Thin Lizzy

Now my resoning for inclusion is this....
First off this was the begining of my list, so there for not Halfway

Secondly, both bands clearly influence later bands in the genre, both stylistically, and in terms of stage presence and musical references.

Granted Aerosmith is deemed a "Hard Rock" band and "Van Halen" deemed a "Heavy Metal" band both have been listed as influences in the Hair/Glam scene for the past twenty or so years.

I trust you see my point. If not it is of little consistency.

    Thanks Stasis.

Needs a marketing scheme to go with it.

Like a big over the top commercial, with fireworks and a song from the setlist...Something like that.

    I would LOVE this game.

I just finished typing my "If The World Revolved Around Me" RB3 setlist and lost everything when I clicked "post reply" and it wanted me to relog in again; but you've got alot of what I had listed in this game.

You should use word pad. That way you wont lose your info, then just copy/paste it into the post box. ;)

Thanks for the compliments, I'm most proud of the achievements.

Nice setlist. The achievements were pretty creative - nice touch. I have to agree that neither Aerosmith nor Van Halen are not out of place on a glam setlist. Great job.

Really cool list, I'm not sure if you have a certain number of songs for a reason and don't want to mess that up but what about shock rockers Marilyn Manson and Alice Cooper? The Manson track we have now isn't really quite Glam but I would say anything from Mechanical Animals would qualify.

Also for another current band, how about Kill Hannah?

    Yeah... woulda, coulda, shoulda:)

The achievements are very creative and would be fun to do. I'm sure this took alot of thought. I hope someone, who could make this happen, sees it.

I was thinking of Including Kill Hannah, but i didn't think any one would get it. But if any one would like to include some more in each decade I am open to options. Also there needs to be some more achievements, and I am open to them as well. :)

Im imagining this game with great visual flare. Like say if your vocalist fails out it would show him doing a David Lee Roth jump kick and splitting his pants. Now that would be epic.

    LOL it would.

Or if the drummer fails he falls through the drumkit and passes out.
Or if the guitarist fails, he falls of the stage into the crowd and no one catches him....:D
