It was between The Doors and Aftermath, went with Aftermath by a morsel, One the better 60s Stone albums, containing favorites such as Paint It Black, Under My Thumb, Mother's Little Helper, Flight 505, Lady Jane, Doncha Bother Me.

Piper at the Gates of Dawn. Along with Sgt. Pepper, it really helped give birth to psychedelic rock, which in turn gave birth to progressive rock, my favorite genre, and acid rock, the precursor to heavy metal.

    Also, Syd Barrett.

Voted the VU & Underground, but it was hard to put it ahead of Revolver and Surrealistic Pillow.

These are my top three of this list. I chose the lolgeneric choice of VU & Nico because, unlike the other two, from first listen, I was hooked. It was what I credit with completely changing my taste in music, so the personal value is way beyond those two. As far as which I like to listen to best, Freak Out! and PATGOD are fantastic listens, but TVU&N still gets the pick for its diversity while not straying so far that it stops being coherent.

I wanted to pick Sgt. Pepper but I only wanted one album per group. Personally I had Revolver, Velvet Underground & Nico, and Piper at the Gates Of Dawn. There were a few more albums I could have picked like S.F. Sorrow which I like a lot.

I picked The Velvet Underground & Nico, but the Door's and Pink Floyd's debut albums are huge favorites as well.

I'm going with the Doors on this one. I love that album. I have Velvet Underground & Nico and it didn't impress me the first time I heard it. Maybe I need to listen to it again though, the first time I heard Black Sabbath I didn't like it as much as Paranoid or Master of Reality. Now I love that album, though.

They're all really, really good albums.

I haven't heard the Zappa, Byrds or Stones albums in a long time, but were impressed enough to know they were/are landmark albums.

I have a soft spot in my soul for Surrealistic Pillow, but voted for Revolver.

Went with Aftermath. "Under My Thumb" is among the best songs I've ever heard.
