Post your day one RBN purchases!Hey

ReygnierReygnier Opening Act
edited March 2010 in The Rock Band Network
There are almost 90 songs approved by now and I'm interested on knowing which songs some of you are going to buy on day-one once the RBN (finally) gets released.

The list of (most of the) songs approved can be found here: http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=176177

Mines are: (please, only post songs already approved)

All four by Fake Shark-Real Zombie! (I love the band.)
Broadcast - "Love and the Triumph Of"
Heaven Ablaze - "Parhelia"
Terrorhorse - "Packet Flier"
Lead the Dead - "Rip'er"
The two (three?) already approved from Steve Vai

I'm getting 1600 points, so if the songs are 80 points, that mean I'll get 20 songs total. I'm looking forward to really hard guitar songs or songs I like the sound of. There are some songs I'm like in the middle of getting or not, one of them being Trippollette. I don't like that it sounds like a song out of Guitar Hero Music Creator, but it looks like a fun challenge. I might get it, but I heard that it got rushed over the Peer Review and now I don't know if I'll get it or not. Also, there are some songs that I might get but the previews from them are either too short (I'm looking at you RockGamer Studios) or worst, they don't have any preview at all. I don't feel like 1 minute of preview in RBN will be enough for me to know if the song is worth it or not.

Enough from me, I want to hear from you now ^.^

Depending on how many are up on launch day. If it's less than 100 I am going to get them all. I really love this idea and want to support it as much as I can. I bought all the DLC so far, why stop now. If RBN is successful then maybe Canada and other regions will be able to submit our songs.

All the indie songs. It's somewhat strange to me that the metal genre is currently dominating the "indie" genre in terms of number of songs. (According to the Chart Previews)

Assuming they come to the PS3, I'll be picking up:

Bill Buford's Earthworks - Footloose and Fancy Free
    Jonathan Coulton - Creepy Doll
Jonathan Coulton - The Future Soon
    KMFDM - Juke Joint Jezebel
    Lacuna Coil - Survive
    Speck - Grumpytown (probably)
Speck - VP of Booty Reports
Stroke 9 - Little Black Backpack
Stroke 9 - Kick Some Ass
Wounded Soul - Rx (just because... :) )

The rest I'll have to preview before I know for sure whether or not I'll pick them up.

Hefty list, to be sure! Alright, going through the list of approved songs (and ignoring some definite buys in playtest/review), here is my initial buy list:

River of Tuoni - Amberian Dawn
He Sleeps in a Grove - Amberian Dawn
    Trippolette - Andrew Buch
Footloose and Fancy Free - Bill Bruford's Earthworks
Love and the Triumph Of - Broadcast
Tadpole Search and Rescue - Chaunce DeLeon and the Fountain of Choof
    Icarus' Song - Furly
    Sleep On - Glass Hammer
    Hyperbole - Glass Hammer
Persistence of Vision - Matter in the Medium
The Attitude Song - Steve Vai
For the Love of God (Live) - Steve Vai
    Packet Flier - Terrorhorse
    Even Rats - The Slip

And who knows what else I may throw on given interesting previews, nostalgia from playtesting, and whatever else. Guess it depends on how many points I'm willing to spend launch day (which is currently a recklessly large amount)!

You guys should realize that most of these are going to be $1. I might imagine even some if not most of the bigger songs will be $1 also.

    A LOT.

I am going to be sooo poor when RBN comes out.

It doesn't help that RB proper DLC seems to be ratcheting back up in quantity as well.

Generic macaroni and cheese, and Ramen Noodles for a week for me :p

You know, mostly everything, like Johnathan Coulton, Lacuna Coil, Speck, Main Drag, Bang Camaro... I'm gonna want to check out previews beforehand for many of them, but I've got an idea of what I want.

I bought the 250gb modern warfare 2 360 in November in anticipation of RBN...so wise decision :D

Not saying I'm going to buy all the songs on RBN, but so far I've seen well over a hundred I'm interested in(this includes the songs still in play testing/peer review).

At this rate...I might need a bigger HD in a few months

Depends on the length of the song, among other factors. I can tell you that our song, "Rx", at almost exactly 4 minutes, is right around 24 MB.

I've got an unused 4000 pt card waiting for RBN.

Of the 87 currently approved, there are about 10-15 definites and another 20ish probables. Add in the 10+ definites sitting in Peer Review and I am going to eat through those 4000 points quick.
