I just found something out: apparently in 2003 Celine Dion wanted to use the name "Muse" for one of her US tour. Muse, who had the worldwide rights to the name, said no, because they hadn't been "discovered" in the US yet, and when they went over there they didn't want to be thought of as a Celine Dion backing band. So they threatened her with a lawsuit and basically kicked her ass.

I don't know about you guys, but I wouldn't want to have anything to do with Celine Dion, much less share a name with her.

There have been a fair amount of up-and-coming bands called Muse that had to change thier names, as well as tour stuff like this. At least before they "Broke America".

The Rocket Baby Dolls have really come a long way. If you say Muse now, everyone knows who you are talking about (or should anyway).

Yeah, the Rocket Baby Dolls have changed a lot in 15 years or so.

I may have to move to London, just for the music. Not too many amazing bands springing up around here.

Yeah, I think the best music around came from the British Isles. I'm sure lots of others agree.

Well out of my 10 favorite bands:

    Muse - UK
    Radiohead - UK
    Interpol - USA!
    Coldplay - UK
    Franz Ferdinand - UK
    U2 - UK
    Arctic Monkeys - UK
    Bloc Party - UK
    The Cure - UK
The Killers - USA (But signed by a British Label)

    Quite a trend there.

Well, technically U2 is from Ireland. Which isn't in the UK. I don't think I could rank my favorite bands. But the majority of them are definitely from the UK. Radiohead, Muse, Bloc Party, Oasis, Coldplay, the Rolling Stones, and so on.

Either way, far too much good music has to make a trans-atlantic trip.

I watched it twice the day I got mine. And about 5 times since. And bits of it pretty much constantly. Well worth the money.

Well, everything Muse I have ever purchased has been worth the money.

Yeah HAARP is pretty awesome. I wish I didn't live in an apartment so I could crank up the volume!

p.s. this post ties us with the most replied to thread in the Ultimate Setlist section ^_^ I know it's been due in large part to to the 6 (or so) of us that have been talking about Muse back and forth but still.

Also, I decided that I want 3 packs for Muse:

    Origin Of Symmetry Pack
    New Born
    Bliss
    Plug In baby

    Absolution Pack
    Hysteria
    Stockholm Syndrome
    Time Is Running Out

    Black Holes & Revelations Pack

    Map of the Problematique
    Exo-Politics
    Knights of Cydonia

I'd have put Citizen Erased instead of Bliss (though it's a really tough call) and Invincible in place of Map of the Problematique.

But other than that, spot-on. Covers all the major bases.

Woohoo, number one most-replied thread in the forum.
There may only be a few people that post religiously in this thread, but we can say that we've got the craziest and most talkative thread regulars that'll have to take action if Hysteria is the end of Muse in Rock Band.
Though it does kind of make it seem like there are only a few crazy-poster people that want Muse. Look around in all the request threads and you'll see the end of that theory.
