I really don't think this thread is about which bands have the most hits...
RHCP, SOAD, and certainly LP don't even touch bands like Tool or Radiohead in terms of complexity and musical talent.

I'm not sure--like most people say, most of the best current bands were not formed in the 2000's.

I will say Tool and Radiohead...yes I'm biased, but next person who says Fall out Boy or Linkin Park is going to get stabbed.

I like the idea of musical complexity and talent, but if not many of the songs are good, not many people will listen to you anyways. Maybe in that case LP should be taken off of a list, but IDK about Tool being super complex and stuff. Radio head is a good example of talent and complexity, but they don't have enough hits IMO, cause you really only hear one or maybe two of their songs actually played on the radio, if that.

But SOAD and RHCP stay on the list in any aspect you would like to make this about.

Its hard to not mention bands that weren't formed in the 90s and made it big. Not one band really stands out for me which was formed 2000 and after.
This is greatest bands OF 2000's not greastest bands FORMED AFTER 2000
some of the bands created before 2000 didn't get popular(mainstream) until the 2000's i.e. lamb of god others are still going strong like zao, archenemy etc.

Id say Iron Maiden with 3 incredible albums Brave New World (2000), Dance of Death (2003), and A Matter of Life and Death (2006). Especially considering that Brave New World in my opinion is Iron Maiden's greatest album ever, they win for best band of the 00's.

Coheed and Cambria (obviously ((my fav band)) )

Wolfmother reminds me of Led Zeppelin in many ways, from song structure to the sound itself. I hope they make a new album soon, it is definitly a great band with a good future.

The Zoutons I bet few people have heard of, but they are a good band with some great acoustic works, some weird songs that are kind of out there, and a good vocalist.

I also love Dragonforce, and I hope they keep doing what they do, create ridiculously fast and hard songs that we can barely follow.

    1. Dave Matthews Band - released stuff before 2000, but popularity has continued to grow steadily in the 2000's. Very revolutionary; will be viewed as the Grateful Dead of the 2000's.

    2. O.A.R. - Again, an immensly talented band that is gaining popularity. Has the potential to be as popular or more popular than Dave; probably has more "mainstream" potential. Also one of, if not the best live band you'll hear; they tend to play at college field house type of arenas, they have a really personal, intimate show and tear it up.

    3. RHCP - Post 2000 I think they're one of the best bands ever, no matter the time period. We'll hear about them for years and years to come.

All of the bands u mentioned formed before that. Especially Red Hot chili Peppers who formed in 1983. U obviously are not a fan of any of these bands
