First "Experimental" songs on the RBN from Seppuku With A Straw!

Hey fellow RBN aficionados!

I'm excited to announce that a song from my experimental band, Seppuku With A Straw, is now available on the RBN for 80MSP! I guess it just takes a song/band nobody has ever heard of for it to be able to get through the whole process without ever being mentioned outside of the Creators Site. ;)

It's called "Death By Cancer"! That sounds like fun, right?

Gameplay video (courtesy of RBNPreview): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9BoL2uYE6k

For those who want to check it out before the official store update: Full Song, Trial

There's also another song from SWAS coming to the RBN soon called "Apple Choking." Apples are dangerous.

...and did I mention "Death By Cancer" is the first song on Rock Band from 2011? From the future!

Get your time travel on.

When you say "Experimental", that's the actual genre? Hmmm.

I think you need to bump it up to 88 MSP
I don't think I'd have much luck convincing Microsoft, but that's a great idea. Plus, I'd make an extra three cents per download!

It's the listed sub-genre. The genre is Other, and the sub-genre is Experimental. It seemed to describe the music better than the other choices, so I went with it!

If you recorded this song in 2011, then you must have some knowledge of what lies ahead. So I say everybody starts interrogating you to find out the rest of the RB3 setlist.

I was only there for a short time, and I didn't check out RB3 because I wanted to be surprised! Sorry!

    They're listed as prog.

The song looks (and sounds) pretty unique and fun to play on everything. Definitely planning to pick it up.

Cool track, Mags! It looks fiendishly difficult on all instruments, though.

    Looks like fun!
I'd definitely buy it, if it wasn't for the horribly insensitive title.

I suppose I can see why you might have interpreted it as an insensitive title, but it definitely isn't intended to be. While the artist name is rather pointedly tongue-in-cheek, the song title and meaning was not written as a joke or anything, trust me.

    Cap'n approves of this idea.

Definitely gonna be downloading Death By Cancer as soon as I get paid next week, even though there's a reasonable chance I'll never pass it. If the song itself is released on UK iTunes at some point, I'd be all over it.

/me really should get on here more often

Fair point, however it's not a title I want to see popping up in my game for personal reasons. Whether intentional or not doesn't really change anything. I look forward to future experimental stuff from you though :)

You mean you were only then for a short period of time. ;)

Bought the track, though I've only had the chance to play it on drums so far. Saw the chart though and it looks like a lot of fun on the other instruments as well. Well worth the purchase even though you won't give me the rest of the RB3 setlist you big meanie.

Oh my god, that bassline. I'm buying this right now

EDIT: but I can't play it yet and got caught up in all the deals...I bought Nirvana and Foo Fighters....then i looked through RBN and bought Nosophoros, Ultimate Showdown, Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom (my brother's recently gotten into parry gripp lol and honestly, it'll be fun to sing), and Blow At High Dough....then I went to the regular music store again and bought the rest of the Lady Gaga Tracks, I Don't Wanna Stop, 21st Century Digital Boy, and Train In Vain....35 bucks lol All that crap's downloading as we speak

EDIT 2: I failed....fast. Expert guitar. finally beat it on my 3rd try

Songs from the future are always welcome on my hard drive.

I actually failed the demo, several times, and passed the song my first try post-purchase. Interesting, huh?

I don't see the song as really fail worthy But keeping a combo at some parts is just impossible.
