80msp obviously

it's only 1:45 so it shouldn't take too long.

Inspired by The Residents made in 2006

Doesn't sound bad, but I think you should fix up the timing.
I make a lot of music in garageband, its pretty fun.

    What are you talking about?

There's no fee to put a song on RBN.

No. There's an authoring company (RhythmAuthors, I believe) that charges $500 to author the song for you. But they're awesome at it so it's worth the price if you don't have the capability to do so yourself.

The only fees are about $100 for a year XNA subscription, then you have to buy the tools necessary to author the songs. But it doesn't cost you anything to actually put a song up on the RBN.

Yeah, I'm sure I read somewhere that they charge you to host it.

    That source is definitely wrong.

You need to pay for an XNA premium membership, and that's it. At that point, you can submit any number of songs you'd like for no charge, and they stay hosted forever, even if your XNA membership expires.

You can pay $60 for the license to Reaper, which all the RBN documentation refers to, but you could also do the charting in any MIDI sequencer.

I've decided to look into providing a bass line and maybe a little guitar track instead of the piano.

    I'll keep you posted.

I don't know if this was intentional, but I totally read this in Bob Dylan's whiny 1965 voice. Good joke if that's who you were invoking.

    I can dig it. :D

I sent it to some friends and their responses are:
Congrats, my soul has been crushed.
    I want my life back.
    This is beautiful.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you also need $50/year Gold XBox Live as well to upload songs

I know it's pretty inconsistent on the wiki, but the main page saith:

A free Silver Membership is enough for the purposes of creating, playtesting, and reviewing songs.
I know at least one author has let their Gold lapse, and has still been able to submit a song to Peer Review.

I don't see to many people downloading this to be honest it sounds pretty boring chart wise and the song while okay is probably not enough to hold the 80 MSP fee
