Protest the Hero... The fact that Guitar hero has them makes me want to download the DLC, I have been patiently waiting for them on rock band, thank you Noble

While I do listen to all styles and genres of music hard rock/metal/industrial is closest to my heart.

So expect to see a lot of bands in this style coming from us.

I'm curious about what KMFDM songs these might be now that we already have two. And hoping that not as much of the music gets lost in translation as with JJJ.

Impressive artist list- Hope this is a sign that there is more PtH to come for both franchises!

Hey Noble, I was wondering if it would be ok to contact you once my band starts recording, we are pretty close to that point and all 7 members play Rock Band on a regular basis and being able to play out own songs would be awesome, our band is called Razor Shark in case you were wondering.

While I can't announce any specific songs at this juncture, KMFDM is bringing quite a lot of music to the service. Theres a mix of the old classic mega hits, and new material from the next batch.
In that case I'll just hope that means there'll be some songs along the lines of Godlike, Virus, More & Faster, and Money. :D Also keep that kind of forgotten MDFMK album in mind, a lot of those songs like Rabble Rouser and Torpedoes would lend themselves really well to RB, I think.

I guess others have said it, but I can't help but join in. I hope your team puts Protest the Hero at the tippity-tip top of the list. "Bloodmeat" is going to be incredible, and I'm hoping the unannounced track is either "Sequoia Throne" or "Heretics and Killers" or "Bury the Hatchet". Or any of them, really.

I knew when you finally announced what you were working on that there would be some awesome stuff, but you completely blew away my expectations. Very much looking forward to buying most/all of that :p

Add another person to the list who's excited about Protest the Hero! Hopefully the many positive responses here will translate into high sales and, eventually, in to as much of their music as possible in the game (Turn Soonest to the Sea please).

Can you say if there are anymore tracks off of NIHIL as far as KMFDM go because that is one of my favorite albums?

Also you should contact Kirtland Records and get the Toadies on RBN!

The band and I figured that we'd use Bloodmeat for the people that don't know who the band is, but might be familiar with GH.

They'll have one of those, OH that band moments, and might be more inclined to pick up future tracks.

The band is picking the second track, and they are VERY into getting their stuff onto RBN.

If the tracks do well they plan on bringing over a ton (if not all) of their stuff.
I can't tell you how much this post has made my day! You're a legend! :D

Noble sir, this list is awesome.

Also I'm happy to see so many people excited for Protest The Hero! They might be bringing all of their stuff eventually?! Mind. Blown.

I see you're going to ask about Alexisonfire? So now we're talking 2 of my top 5 favorite bands. I don't even know what to say :D

If you're talking to Vagrant bands, how about Thrice? and maybe some more Senses Fail?

Yea. Never got a flat-out "no", but at this point I'm not hopeful of getting anything either way. The band's all for it, I just don't think the label cares.

this seems to be really common amongst 90's alt-rock bands.

i had two "should have been bigger" bands willing to let me reissue their material years ago, but both times got dicked over by bitter record labels who would rather sit on master-tapes than get a little cash thrown their way and see a band they once worked with receive some long overdue attention.

Yeah I've ran into that as well.

Few places they weren't happy with the percentages that RBN pays out, and I was like...what else are you doing with these masters? It's not like you have people beating down your door for these bands at this point is it?

Some money is better than none in my book ;)

    But I digress :D

Nuclear blast, Napalm, Road Runner, and a butt ton of others I can't remember off the top of my head.

I've been (and still am) a busy little beaver the last month :)

The upside, to me at least, is that I've got another band with a 90's hit that I've been talking to. There, the label's all about it, even doing some heavy license digging to make sure we can do it. The band....

Well, actually, I have no idea. Maybe they're interested, maybe they aren't. Luckily it doesn't matter, but as a musician myself it's pretty annoying that someone wholly unrelated to the song's development holds the influence over it getting out there or not. I'm always grateful when a label's on board but it just feels weird.

Color me interested for some of those bands. With one person per instrument, though, I worry for your collective vitamin D deficiency, because you won't be spending much time outside with 100 tracks to author. If that number is true, the only thing I worry about is that we won't be seeing some of them until this time next year.

We're looking for new members as we speak.

If this doesn't slow down, we might need a factory ;)

    Yay for these:

    Union Underground
    KMFDM
    Ministry
    The Dreaming(formerly Stabbing Westward)
    Prong
    Lords of Acid

Well probably anyway. Depends on the songs.
Can they use the Stabbing Westward songs/name or do they not own those/are on a different label or something like that?

I'm guessing South Texas Death Ride is probably out the window (or at least wouldn't be the same) for Union Underground but Revolution Man & Mr. Deadman would still be awesome.

Obviously D.I.Y by KMFDM will be included :p

    "Shanghai-Stockholm-Berlin-Tel Aviv
The world rotates to the Ultra-Heavy Beat
From the gutter to the top
    KMFDM will never stop"

    ;)

I thought this was a KMFDM specific topic cause of that.
