Can the Rock Band drums use the Guitar Hero drum splitter

Find it really silly that a splitter needs batteries for it to work

    It has nothing really to do with the splitter, and more to do with the way that the pedals themselves send their signals. The GH pedals use a piezo transducer that, when struck, sends out its signal and is done. However, the RB pedals don't work that way. They use a magnetic reed switch that sends out a continuous signal as long as the pedal is pressed down.

    It is for that reason that the RB splitters (PDP and Twin Rocker) require batteries, for the circuitry that cuts off the continuous signal, leaving the drum kit able to receive another signal from the 2nd pedal immediately.

    Oh thats lame hey at least the Rock Band 3 drums are much quieter
