They have done well, even though it has taken a large volume of tracks to amass that overall number.

Like you I kinda question the numbers by keldon. They are awfully low compared to earlier scores. I mean: 169 Scores and #1?

Also, there is still not one Wii score registered there...

Yeah, I'm not sure if Keldon is reliable anymore.

yeah, although to be honest looking over the past month or so of RBN releases there hasn't been too many tracks that I would say would be sales monsters anyways outside of "Revolution" and maybe "Uncivilized" (which might have run into the problem of being 160msp instead of 80 like the other TIJ tracks...)

it might just be a slow period

Bongo was reporting some API issues, so it may be an HMX issue.

I think RBN is slowing down though, particularly with RBN 2.0 potentially out there soon.

I'm all for corny nostalgia songs (Higher by Creed), but I still have no urge to buy Bodies. I remember thinking that song was ridiculous when it first came out, and I personally think it still is.

Maybe if it was $1 I would consider it, but based on current sales, that will never happen.

Yeah, although there are a few potential heavy hitters floating around in PT/PR right now so I guess we'll see if those debut and do good numbers.

I actually really enjoyed "Bodies" when I had the test copy, but I have not bought it yet. I will eventually though.

Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to know that Demon Hunter is still going strong in the rankings. I wish Authority or some other authoring group would get more of their songs on RBN.

Demon Hunter's definitely awesome. I'm surprised "The World Is A Thorn" didn't do better.

I was looking over my database of the weekly top 20 and found some interesting things.
    • Drowning Pool's "Bodies" has never dropped out of the top 10 since debuting on the March 21st weekly chart. It's lowest spot was #9 on September 14th.

    • Five Finger Death Punch's "Hard To See" has been in the top 10 since it's debut as well. It's lowest rank was #7 on August 10th.

    • Asking Alexandria's "The Final Episode" has never dropped out of the Top 5 since debuting on July 20th with one exception. The song dipped all the way down to #22 for the August 24th chart, only to return to #3 the following week and back to #1 for two weeks after that. This song has been #1 six times, 1 more than "Bodies". Overall Asking Alexandria has been #1 nine times with their three tracks.

    • 7 of Jonathan Coulton's tracks have charted in the top 20 (4 in the first week of RBN) but only "Code Monkey" stayed on the chart for more than one week. It charted for seven weeks.

    • Amberian Dawn has also had 7 tracks chart, unfortunately only one ("Valkyries") stayed on for more than a week.

    • Despite being a massive sales success, Bang Camaro's GH2 classic "Push Push (Lady Lightning)" was only #1 on the first chart and only maintained a top 10 slot for seven weeks.

    • Attack Attack's track "Stick Stickly" may be rated 3rd in overall sales, but the highest it has landed in the weekly charts was #5 on August 24th.

    • Nineteen tracks have made a Top 10 debut, only to disappear from the charts the following week.

I figured they would do well, but their success is quite a surprise to me considering they are lesser known than their Dayton counterparts The Devil Wears Prada and Attack Attack!

I'm not. I didn't buy it. Frankly, even though it is the title song, it just doesn't sound appealing imo. But I love playing Collapsing.

Well I have to agree, I don't like it as much as "Collapsing". I just figured it would go over well with the people.

It debuted at #6 for the week but disappeared right after that.

On a side note, once RB3 is released, all this info will be junk, as they'll be using separate leaderboards than RB2.

Shame there's no better way to track sales.

I'm sure he will, but DLC and name matching between RB1, 2, and 3 may be a pain. I don't think his numbers even check RB1 currently (which doesn't effect RBN, but does effect DLC for the PS3 and 360)

actually the list covers all scores from 1 and 2 I think

the format switch might make things complicated though

    I guess we'll see

They have done pretty well. "Demon Woman" did not quite have the impact but they do have some more songs that would probably do well.
