Whoa! A live version of Fire? That's awesome! Especially for those that really didn't want to export Lego Rock Band for that one track. I'm also happy to see the studio of Purple Haze as I thought the Live version that was used in GH:WT was rather lackluster. (But then again, I found many songs in that game lackluster until the very same tracks were in Rock Band, fanboy much?) Anyway, I can't wait for those two songs, as well as The Wind Cries Mary.

    Very nice.

Live version of Fire is certainly welcome with the original already present. Wonder what live performance they're from...

No "I Don't Live Today"? Why is that?

Glad to see that Stone Free and Highway Chile made it though.

I'm a little upset that a live version of Fire is in there instead of Red House. I wish I Don't Live Today was in there as well. I'll still get it all when I can.

    Epic win!

But what's up with that Fire (Live) repeat, and how will it sort with the studio version from Lego:RB?

EDIT: Just seen in the Zine that Fire is the Live version from Woodstock, nice :)

That will come in Electric Ladyland though.

BTW I don't think this should count as a full album... with live versions, a track missing and a tracklist that hardly resembles either version of the albums.

    Still an amazing pack though.

    Simple,
One will be "Fire" and the other "Fire (Live)" (both will probably occupy the same track space).

Disappointed in the lack of "I Don't Live Today" :(

This really isn't my cup of tea, but that's ok. I've barely played any of the songs from this week (and I downloaded them all). Plus, getting a Hendrix album out of the way increases the likelihood that there will be something I actually will enjoy on my birthday (Oct. 19th). And then, only one more week until RB3.

Awesome shtuffs, and a relief to see most of these tracks are the studio tracks. Hendrix was just as amazing on stage as in the studio, but even so, it's nice to have the familiar stuff in almost every case.

    Say...

Anybody else besides me find it ironic that studio "Fire" was an on-disc track for Lego Rock Band, but live "Fire" is not marked family friendly?

    Here is the live "Fire":

Hey Joe is from the Voodoo Child collection, which has the winterland version, which means it will be this version:

Quite an amazing version IMO, should be fun to play.

Also, "Stone Free" is from Valleys of Neptune.

Not really, it's known that bands sometimes change the lyrics when playing live or shouting stuff.

I hope it's this version! I was a little disappointed at first that it wasn't the studio version, but this version is soooo much better!!!

I hope we can get word from Harmonix that it's this version!

Edit: Nevermind, it is that version!! :)

Exactly where are those live tracks from? Woodstock? Berkley? Monterey? Winterland?

Edit: Thanks for telling me about Hey Joe, at least.

See above it was the same post you quoted at the Bottom. It explains where the Live version are from.

"Additionally, alternate versions of songs originally recorded for Are You Experienced will also be released next week, including versions of “Hey Joe (Live)” from Voodoo Child: The Jimi Hendrix Collection, “Fire (Live)” from Hendrix’s famous performance at Woodstock, and “Stone Free” from Valleys of Neptune, a collection of previously unreleased Hendrix recordings that was put out earlier this year."

I most likely will buy the whole album I really love the engery in the live Fire version from woodstock.

"including versions of “Hey Joe (Live)” from Voodoo Child: The Jimi Hendrix Collection"

    Quick google search:
    http://www.authentichendrix.com/pgi-ProductSpec?622-001-043

it says this is the winterland version. it also fits the track length in Wikipedia (6:45). It is that version.

If that's the case, then they should label that track as being by Jimi Hendrix because he wasn't with the Experience at that point.

Are you suggesting Harmonix is misstating who a particular song is by? That never happens!

Well, yeah, that happened, but If the same were to hold true for Hendrix, we'd have all of Axis: Bold as Love under Jimi Hendrix.
