My RB4 Setlist (2011 Version)

therenegadetherenegade Opening Act
edited December 2010 in Your Ultimate Setlist
This, ladies and gents is quite possibly my best imaginary RB setlist ever. It took me many days, but I think I've gotten it to near perfection. Without ado...

- DLC completly intergrated into tour mode. New gigs available with DLC purchases.

- Pro Drums now has Hi-hats and Double Bass

- You can now have five band members on the stage at once. If all instruments are in play, you can select the option to enable vocals and add a character for them.

- DLC Recommendations based on what you play most often.

- Includes a music video creator. You can take your videos you make and edit them to play on certain songs.

- MVC Tokens. For every $1 you spend on DLC, you'll get an MVC (Most Valued Customer) token. Use 5, 10 or 15 to redeem a free song based on it's value. Won't apply to RBN.

- Countdown. Don't you hate having to wait during a song you like to play. Now we have a countdown clock that tells you how long you have inbetween sections of play. Now during Bohemian Rhapsody, your Guitarist can go fetch you all some nice drinks.

Oyo Como Va is by Santana, not by Carlos Santana solo. Also it's not Blues. By RB genres it would be labeled as Classic Rock.

And an all right list overall. The 60s and 70s selections are for the most part good, but I feel overall your setlist is lacking in Metal and Grunge.

Thanks. I fixed the Santana mistake. It's just so tough with artists who have solo careers and band careers. (i.e. Joan Jett)

I also apologize for having a small amount of grunge and metal. It's just hard to find a way to balance metal in when keyboards are becoming a big instrument. If something becomes DLC, I'll probably put in Metallica or Slayer to fill the slot.

Prog Metal and Pop Metal have plenty of keys. And I know keys and all are new to the game but the majority of Metal songs at least don't need to have it. And yes Metallica and Slayer would be very nice.

    Also no problem. :)

I liked your 60s and 80s picks (best Jefferson Airplane song imo, and the whole 80s set was pretty solid). You had a lot of good bands from the 70s, but I didn't really feel like they were all the most appropriate song choices as disc songs. (Like, Rebel Rebel, despite the long debates surrounding it, I still feel should be dlc). The 00s was a mixed bag. You got Muse (always a +1 in my book) but yeah, no prog metal, no symph metal. Dream Theater comes to mind and has amazing keys parts on almost every song.

I beleive in a thing called love does have keys

this gets 10 out of 10,mostly for these songs:
    carousel-awesome!
    viscinity of obscenity-banana banana....awesome!
cespools in eden-awesome! we need more of these guys
I beleive in a thing called love-one of my favorite songs ever!

EDIT:I feel like doing one of these, but I'm lazy so I'll probably just do RB3 DLC prediction threads

Good setlist, quite a few interesting picks from some big name artists ("Flight of the Rat" and "Wah Wah" are great choices) but still quite a few familiar tracks for those not in the know with that artist. Good job!

Not bad. Lots of good stuff on here. Not sure why everyone picks "Flight of Icarus" for Maiden, though. Good song, but there are a lot of better ones that get overlooked. Some of their stuff has epic keyboard too - listen to "Moonchild" or "Paschendale."

I'm gonna do one of these myself in January or something, after I see what HMX has in the pipeline for the rest of December.

I did want to choose a Maiden song with Keys, believe me, but FoI has the an epic guitar solo. I might compromise and use "Stranger in a Strange Land"
