Best of RBN Track Pack

edited February 2011 in The Rock Band Network
In the past, Rock Band has released 20-song discs that act as exportable track packs. I really like this concept, and was wondering the other day: what if they did this with Rock Band Network?
Of coarse, this is just for fun. If they did this, what 20 songs would you choose for this pack?

Debate and discuss.

What if they did this with Rock Band Network, the collection of 800 songs they DON'T hold the license to, and as such, AREN'T allowed to distribute in any other means?

This is for fun, not a possibility. Go troll elsewhere.

There are RBN songs on Rock Band Reloaded, I'm sure getting permission to put out a disk wouldn't be much different.

This would be a complicated endeavor. With so many different tracks to choose from, what criteria do you use? Obviously I guess you pick the 20 biggest name tracks, to sell the disc to the masses. But then what about the fan favourites or in-house bands?

I understand your confusion. Let me clear this up: what are the 20 songs you would put in this kind of thing. Can be any song, say like all the papers were signed to allow this for any song.

For those who don't take advantage of the online features, sure, why not? That's what these are for, right?

Battles and Brotherhood - 3 Inches of Blood
The Great Salt Lake - Band of Horses
Push Push (Lady Lightning) - Bang Camaro
Obfuscation - Between the Buried and Me
    Alliegiance - Blackguard
    Still There - Bojibian
Sunday Suit - Connor Christian and Southern Gothic
    Higher - Creed
    The Heist - DNA's Evolution
    Bodies - Drowning Pool
    Soulless - Fake Problems
Angel Lust - Fake Shark-Real Zombie!
Better Sleep - Fatter Than Albert
The Most Beautiful Girl (In the Room) - Flight of the Conchords
    Steppin' Lightly - Gov't Mule
Cheat on the Church - Graveyard BBQ
Tastes Like Kevon Bacon - iwrestledabearonce
    Shop Vac - Jonathan Coulton
    Crooked Strings - Kiev
What's Your Favorite Dinosaur? - The Main Drag
Tora Tora Tora - Pretty & Nice
    24-7 - The Pursuits
Friday the 13th - The Riptides
The Attitude Song - Steve Vai
Chilly Water (Live) - Widespread Panic

Based it around popularity, how good the songs were themselves and how they played. I also tried to keep it as varied as possible.

And yeah, that's 25 songs. I SIMPLY COULD NOT TAKE OUT ANYMORE!

It's gotta have one of the Flogging Molly songs and one of the Band of Horses songs on it.

Band of Horses is there. I just screwed up the first few songs by putting the artist name first :P

EDIT: Assuming you were talking to me, that is....

Perhaps they could add pro drums or fix Wavegroup's terrible mixing and other errors.

It's an interesting idea, but I feel the track pack conept is flawed in general.

I kept my list entirely to songs that do not have Pro Drums at the moment, perhaps the track pack could update them or something.

Amberian Dawn - "He Sleeps In A Grove"
Asking Alexandria - "The Final Episode (Let's Change The Channel)"

Band Of Horses - "The Funeral"
Bang Camaro - "Push Push (Lady Lightning)"
Between The Buried And Me - "Mordecai"
Children Of Nova - "The Complexity Of Light"
    Creed - "Higher"
    Drowning Pool - "Bodies"

The pack should be restricted to songs that haven't been released on the PS3.

I forgot about this thread. For me, aything goes, as long as it has one of the "impossible on all parts" songs (Buttersnips by Periphery and Voodoo Treasure by Majestic). Their both badass songs, and would be great finishers.

It'd have to include at least one extreme metal song. That's practically all that's been released recently.
