Well, it depends on you're into.

If you like contemporary music and want a challenge on drums, there's "Beautiful Girl" by Sophie B. Hawkins: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRZnbhunwR8

If you like hard rock and a Zeppelin-esque sound, there's "Done" by The Giraffes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BWyPx7jeJ8

If you enjoyed any of the music from the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the artist behind it, Ron Wasserman, has an original song in that style titled "Fight Back": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWJrI2idS_4

If you like Indie Punk, there's "Five More Minutes" by Counterfeit Pennies: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXyvbrHjjcI

If you like super catchy songs with Grateful Dead-like fun guitar, you can check "Crooked Strings" by Kiev: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Fbw3GNYOZc

    On PS3 or 360?

If you like Sonata Arctica, you should definitely check out Firewind, Pythia, Ayreon and Amberian Dawn. I'd also recommend Kiev - Crooked Strings (and the other Kiev songs), Super Gravity - Freeze Frame and everything by Children of Nova, particularly Arcaedion and We Collide.

We have a variety of songs, including electronica, hard rock, country, and chiptune. All available on Xbox 360.

Head into your in-game music store and browse RBN songs by genre. Find the genre you like, and check out the selection. With over 1000 songs (less if on PS3 or Wii) RBN is sure to have something you'll absolutely love.

That would be Chiptune, found under the Other genre in RB2 and the Pop/Dance/Electronica genre in RB3. There are two versions of the song; the regular version, and a "2x Bass Pedal" version with all the kick pedal authored in the Expert Drums chart.

It is the first and currently only Chiptune song in all of Rock Band, and is the only Chiptune song playable in Rock Band 2. Other authoring groups have announced Chiptune songs that will be coming soon for Rock Band 3, and Rainbowdragoneyes has just publicly confirmed that we'll be bringing another track of his from his upcoming album "The Primordial Booze," which Creatures is a part of. Either he or I will reveal more information on that when the time is right. http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=215865

Until then, I suggest checking out the Pop/Dance/Electronic genre (or the Other subgenres if using RB2) for similar music to tide you over until the new chiptune songs have arrived.

If you're into metal check out Collapsing by Demon Hunter, and Doomsday Party by Sybreed. If you like indie/alt stuff then check out the Funeral by Band of Horses, of Automatic Doors By Atris. If you like urban/hip hop stuff then check out Top Back, Lights Out, or War Against the Radio. If you like Punk/pop punk then check out We are the One by Anti-Flag, or Stereo Stereo by I Am King Tony. There is literally a metric **** ton more of awesome tracks on RBN, but I figured I'd start small ;)

How did I miss this song? Classic sound, pro drums authored (according to dlcqp anyway), and only a buck??

Hmm, I suspect I missed it because dlcqp lists it as 2 bucks, the links there go to the wrong place, and it came out before I discovered error420...

Glad you like it! I can confirm Pro Drums are authored and it is indeed only a buck. :)

Wow. When ZTO was going through playtest, several authors voiced concerns that anybody new to RBN who might pick it up would be turned off by the zaniness and dismiss all RBN songs as trite. I figured that the .1% chance of a player picking the song as their first RBN was worth the possibility of "leaving a bad taste for all RBN."

So, not only do you shock me by actually getting it (and proving that even .1% is still a chance), but the fact that you enjoy it sends me reeling back (in a good way)!

    Wow. Seriously, wow.

So, not only do you shock me by actually getting it in the less-than-two-months that it's been out (and proving that even a .1% chance is still greater than no chance), but the fact that you enjoy it sends me reeling back (in a good way)!
