    LOL! Grand Funk doing Loco-Motion!

Anyway, big J Geils fan here, love their older stuff. Best party music ever! So, I will put Freeze Frame on my list of songs that I must have... but, I would rather have stuff from older albums.

Nothing else excites me. I might get American Band some day.

Oh, I AM surprised. Surprised that we got three Pro Guitar Upgrades this week.

    Getting them all.

    3 upgrades: Good.
Not knowing what ANY of these songs: Not so good.
Um, Should listen to them and see if there's anything I might enjoy. Seriously doubt it though. Ok. See you next week

Edit: Have listened to them. Should have recognized the Loco-Motion, though I had no idea GFR had recorded it. Knew both Little Eva and Kylie's versions though. Too bad it's the only one this week without Pro upgrades. May pick up American Band & FreezeFrame later once I get the Squier - both songs were OK and with the Pro upgrades they might be worth the admission fee.

All but Joy Division. That song just kinda bores me.

Don't worry, as a counterweight to your selection, that's the only song I'll be getting next week.

I gotta say, I appreciate HMX not putting out some April Fools Day gag announcement. With that said, this had better not be a gag cause the first couple pages of this discussion are all people excited for these songs, so if it WAS a gag, ya'll better get out there and chart these for real cause now we expect them. :)

Great songs, but expected something more humorous to be honest.

Love Will Tear Us Apart is definitely going on my list of songs to get in the future. I have less than zero interest in the other songs.

Wow, I'm really psyched to see pro guitar upgrade for Love Will Tear Us Apart, a song I might actually be able to play on at least Medium when I get my guitar.

I think "The Locomotion" will officially be my least favorite song now, it might not be an April Fool's gag but it makes me want to gag, thinking of the horrid wedding DJ job I had in Florida in the 90s. But I'm sure it will be popular with extremely young Rock Band toddlers.

#1 burning question: Who will be the first drummer to FC "Freezeframe" with paint splashing in their face?

Grand Funk and J Geils are musts.

The Joy Division song I've never heard before the annnouncement and as I am being a little tight with DLC money it's a pass for me. Sounds okay, so I may pick it up later.

    Coolness.
""Freeze Frame" is a definate must and will more than likely also get "An American Band".

Woo. Definite instant buy on 3 tracks. "We're an American Band" is a great party song (and a no-brainer for a game called Rock Band), "Freeze Frame" will be a crowd pleaser, and "Love Will Tear Us Apart" is a song I've always wanted (due to my unnatural love for 80's and alternative/new wave).

Plus, pro upgrades on the three tracks is gravy.

    Gonna be a good week.

What about me? I'm not getting it, either. In fact, I only made it to 1:15 and had to turn it off. Glad it's coming for the folks who like it but it's definitely not for me. J. Geils and Grand Funk, however? HELL, YEAH!

At least HMX has returned to sanity after last week's DF. ;)

Well Joy Division is more or less required reading so I'm getting that for sure. May pick up J. Geils Band too. Most likely will pass hardcore on Grand Funk, not a fan.

Not exactly a surprise song list, but I'll gladly buy 3 out of 4. Never been a fan of any version of Locomotion. "Love Will Tear Us Apart" more than makes up for that. I'll buy any Joy Division (and New Order) you throw my way!

Just Joy Division for me then :(
On a brighter note it gives me time to play through some of the vast amounts of legacy DLC that i still haven't got round to playing. Yay!!

Hmm will definitely be picking up at least 3 of these, and then I'll have to flip a coin on Locomotion.

Anyone else disappointed that it's the Grand Funk version of Locomotion, instead of, oh, I dunno, Kylie Minogue?

But yeah, I'm acting surprised. WOW! Joy Division!

[monotone]Wow! What a surprise! I never expected such a diverse and interesting group of songs to ever be made available as Rock Band DLC, let alone this week! I want HMXHenry to have my man-babies![/monotone]

Cool stuff. Joy Division is the only song I'm on the fence about. I don't think I like it, but I haven't been able to get it out of my head since I heard it.

I'll grab Joy Divison. I've never been so bored with RB DLC for such a long time. Feels like it's an oldies/classic rock game now.

Are we gonna start getting keyboard upgrade songs anytime soon? Final Countdown...maybe?...please?

I think they mentioned a while ago they were going to pause doing that and reevaluate how they did it given the poor forum reaction, which seems to not be represented by sales, as the RB3 versions sold pretty well.

"Bummer", oh well. I'll have to watch the charts and see if something turns up to be interesting enough; not interested in any Joy Division, though. I miss those huge 12 pack we've had during the first months of RB3.. :p

With 3 pro upgrades this week, I think we won't hear any "they don't support PRO GHITAAAA NAFFF" moans, woah :p

Bummer it's not more of the songs discovered over the past few days using the loopholes:

The Band – The Weight (Live)
Grand Funk Railroad – The Loco-Motion
    Fleetwood Mac – Dreams
    Foo Fighters – Rope
    Mastodon – Blood & Thunder
    Phish – Stash
Stevie Nicks – Edge of Seventeen (Just Like the White Winged Dove)
Loverboy – Working for the Weekend
    Tommy Tutone - 867-5309

Here was HMX's response to the finds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
