    1. Drowning Pool - "Bodies"

Interesting that "Never Let You Go" is so far behind the other TEB songs... I think it's the one that came out the best.

Also cool to see Blue so high up, and Anamanaguchi already on the chart, when they came out so recently.

There are probably a decent handful of RBN songs that I got through RB2 and haven't played yet on RB3, I should rectify that.

Nodnod. Blue had a lot of things going for it - a lack of competition (as it was the first RBN song to appear in a month), it's well known, and has Key/Pro Key support. Looking at the solo scores:

    ~2,500 Guitarists
    ~1,100 Bassists
    ~850 Drums
    ~825 Pro Drums
~1,000 Standard Keys (enough to get the "Top %s" to start appearing)
    ~700 Pro Keys
    ~1,400 Vocalists

Interesting mix. But scrolling through the Pro Key scores is pretty painful. You've got a couple dozen in the 200,000 range, and by the time you get to Rank #150, the high score is already only about 85K. Not that I'd be able to clear 50,000 myself (or likely PASS it without no-fail on), so I can't exactly pass judgement. ;)

It'll be interesting to see if Key support will spike extra sales for those that have it, both for Pro Keys and for "Extra Guitar Chart" Standard Keys.

    12. Jonathan Coulton - "Code Monkey"
    84. Jonathan Coulton - "Creepy Doll"
    This needs to be reversed.
    8. Bang Camaro - "Push Push (Lady Lightning)"
    53. The Slip - "Even Rats"
    This as well.
    37. Parry Gripp - "Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom"
    Heh.

Deeply saddens me that Iwrestledabearonce is only 49, and no mention of the 3 other Band of Horses or any Sunny Day Real Estate.

It's about the catchiest and most lovable song in the world. It's at least understandable ;)

It's actually one of the easier pro keys songs. There's only two 3-note chords to worry about in the verses, and they're very easy to one-hand - and the main part of the song is all single-key notes and the pattern repeats throughout the song - so it's not all that challenging.

What's up with no RoJ on the list? That makes me sad. :(

100 songs on that list but yet the only ones of those I have are the Amberian Dawn, Sonata Arctica, Dimmu Borgir, and Testament tracks. And out of all the RBN songs I play, the two Emperor tracks are the most played on my PS3.

The top 5 are to be expected. Funny thing is, I only have "Going Under" because I don't really care for the other 4 bands. Just glad to see A Day to Remember kicking so much RBN @$$ (From Florida so I support FL bands big time) Also good to see Dance Gavin Dance in the top 100. They're an awesome/talented band and EVERYONE should have "Lemon Meringue Tie" (Amazing song that is fun to play as it is to listen to, seriously go download it or at least YouTube it) And of course Flogging Molly ^_^

You can pull semi-live data from Keldon's site, particularly data that also includes PS3 and Wii play here (which yes, biases it towards songs released on all consoles, but it's still useful info).

Using that info, #2 and #3 flip, as Higher has a really strong PS3 showing.

Note, this data is only stuff played in RB3, so RB2 stats are not included.

Ugh... so basically the most played songs are all of the more famous signed bands. Shame, hoping RBN would allow the unknowns to go toe to toe with the bigger hitters but its not the case.

I am also curious about how many of the songs in that list dont come from the big hitter authors. The select what five authors out there are awesome and ive no beef with any of them but they have a serious monopoly on the money that goes into RBN from the DLC buying community.

I suppose that means Ozone was on a real winner when he bagged Blue from under their noses haha

Why? Code Monkey >>> Creepy Doll. In fact, Chiron Beta Prime, Big Bad World One, Mandlebrot Set, The Future Soon and especially Ikea should all be higher than Creepy Doll. :D

Wow, Eifel 65 dominated, considering its recent release.

Nice job on releasing it, Ozone.

I'm glad to see Rodrigo y Gabriela and Freezepop did well.

Unlike most RBN tracks, "Blue" logged just as many scores as the regular DLC did that week.

I wonder if the setup of RBN 2.0 has something to do with it, "Airbrushed" did pretty well also.

Popular stuff tends to stay popular when it's good. Hoping for an unknown RBN band to submit a few songs, be swept up by a label, and make a ton of cash is a Cinderella story, and really about as likely. There have been some pretty unique things that have been successful in RBN though, established or not.

I'm not sure how anyone could expect less popular tracks to outsell more popular tracks.
