There are some problems, first of all, when bands like Pantera move from a small label like Metal Magic to a bigger label, the new, bigger label they sign to usually subsequently holds the rights to their material released on a small label. For example: CKY's first album, despite being released through an independent label, is owns by Def Jam Island or some label with a similar name.

Another problem would be that some independent labels are owned by bigger labels, I'm not sure if this is the case fore any of these though.

Plus when bands are signed to small labels like this they usually retain the rights to their music, meaning that the labels wouldn't have to have anything to do with the process, meaning that the bands themself would need to be contacted.

Labels also aren't always that good about responded to inquiries such as these, and some of these labels are completely defunct.

All of that aside, Minor Threat would be an awesome band to work with, IMO.

Their most recent stuff was the Fake Problems tracks ("5678" and "Soulless").

Huh, just assumed they felt it wasn't worth it and left. That's what I had been telling myself to justify the fact that we never got the two Gaslight Anthem tracks, or any more Flogging Molly then since the beggining of RBN.
So is there hope for either of those?
