Lots of good stuff. Not really digging the pop songs though. Seriously, Britney Spears? Ricky Martin? Hanson? RENT?! Most RB games don't have that much mainstream pop music.

Also, there are waaayyyy better Alkaline Trio songs than Time to Waste, but I'm sure you just picked it for the keys part.

Looking forward to the free DLC and Collecter's Edition track lists.

@SupaThugPimpin I admit the difficulty might be a bit low. There are a few real ball busters but maybe not enough of them, even with Metal being a dominant genre.

@prodrummer1 Thanks :D Great album overall really, I wonder if it would make for good album DLC.

@tdc002 As with most of my RB3/4/etc setlists, there will be a few dips into the pop pool. I try to spread out the genres so pop gets a chunk just like everything else. I figure if I'm going to have some pop, I might as well go with the biggest name artists while still trying to do songs that would have decent playability. As far as Alkaline Trio, I picked "Time To Waste" for the keys part. I thought about maybe doing "Stupid Kid" or "Radio" but I wanted to make sure I was hitting songs with keys where I could.

@Lowlander2 I say go for the gusto :D

@thatdrummerguy Thanks! I tried to mix in some tracks that I haven't used before plus spread the genres out a little more than I usually would for a 105 song setlist. So it's good to see it turned out well.

    @exploder http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greatest_Hits,_Vol._1_(Korn_album) :D And thanks!

Heh yeah I deleted my post because you posted that whole genre list thing , didn't know if you wanted more spaces but people usually do that (Reserved) thing when making multi post long topics

Because hes horrifyingly bored, why else would any of us be on here?

First of all, FAFM would fall under 1999, as the Greatest Hits version to my knowledge is the exact same recording as what was used on Issues.

Secondly, if you think that they're going to give away potentially 40 bucks worth of DLC away with a 60 dollar game, you're really dreaming. As well as having 20 additional tracks with a special edition release. The first one won't happen. The second one MIGHT but is highly unlikely, as the "Special Editions" for all of the other releases have either included an instrument (and priced accordingly) or a token to export it for free and 6 pre-determined DLC (in the case of Green Day: Rock Band Plus)

@Smirnoff Yeah, I actually meant to reserve a couple posts but I got distracted. Thanks for clearing the way!

@JJs Theory Yeah it's the same song, but I have reasons for listing it that way. As far as the free DLC goes, we've had 20 free DLC before so it's not out the question. As far as the Special Edition package, think less like the instrument bundles and more like the Collector's Edition of certain games.

@kingtonyx....the 20 Free DLC that we got before with RB2 was a bunch of lesser known artists, so instead of losing 40 in DLC they would lose 20 per new copy. Now that RBN has taken hold, I still don't see that as something that they are going to do again.

As far as your reasons for listing it that way, I would like to know what they are, as the only reason that HMX would classify a song not being from the year that it was released is in the event that it had to be re-recorded for release on RB (See Motorhead's 08 releases, the Jimmy Buffett Track Pack and the Devo releases)

I decided to re-evaluate this list with my new tallying and percentages system

Fail meaning I either don't know it or don't like it , Meh meaning I think its alrght , Win meaning well , its awesome

    Main List :
    Fail : 72 (70.5%)
    Meh : 24 (23.5%)
    Win : 6 (6.5%)
    Total acceptable : 30 (30%)

    Deluxe Edition extra tracks :
    Fail : 13 (62%)
    Meh : 3 (14%)
Win : 5 (24%) (The 3 RBN songs of choosing offer were considered as wins)
    Total acceptable : 8 (38%)

    Overall :
    Fail : 85 (69%)
    Meh : 27 (22%)
    Win : 11 (9%)
    Total acceptable : 38 (31%)

Compare to my opinion of RB 3s real list :
    Fails : 52 (64%)
    Meh : 22 (27%)
    Win : 7 (9%)
    Total Acceptable : 29 (36%)

So this is about equal to RB3's real lists lvl of approval from me actually and technically

Factor in the fact that some of the songs that got considered "Fail" for lack of knowing them may actually turn out to be upgraded to "meh"s if this was real , and we're looking at this list being about exactly equal to RB3s real list IMO

    Well that was entertaining XD

This setlist definitely has a ton of variety, but all of your setlists do anyway. I'm disappointed that Lady GaGa didn't make the cut in your 2000's or 2010's sections. Her new album has a couple of tracks that would be GREAT for RB. Anyway, as always, your list hits just about everyone's tastes, and people who complain about the pop are lame. There're more metal songs than pop songs.

@Smirnoff Not bad, maybe some of the songs you haven't heard would take it over the top for you :D

@Scythemaster 37 I had "Judas" actually slated in up until I really started filling in the list. I decided I didn't have enough "new to RB" artists so I switched a few out. Gaga got switched for 3Oh!3...

And I had a look at the list by HMX's current genre system and Metal had the most songs, followed by Classic Rock.

    • Manage your library even better than before by using new modifiers and filters. Save your settings for future use!
    • Venue select now available in Quickplay!
    • All songs come with their own set of goals!
    • Enter Quickplay directly from the Rock Band Music Store!
    • Revamped animations immerse you in the experience
    • Battle your friends in the return Score Duel mode!
    • Customize your own Band HQ with furniture, decorations, and more! Buy the jukebox to control the menu music!
These features are cool. Customizable practice zones would be freakin' awesome!

Quickplay from the store is a cool idea too.

Also the character creation improvements would be really cool and all of the songs having their own goals would add a lot more gameplay hours to the game. These would be some epic add ons.

I really like your in-depth ideas and your setlist is really good! Would you mind if I borrowed the extra content idea for when I make my RB5 setlist to tie in with the DLC years? (Don't worry, it won't be posted on the forums for a long time. It'll be a Pastebin thing first.)
