I know Subpop is very involved in RBN, I don't care who releases the song, I'm just wondering why it's not here already.

This should be in ultimate setlist. Subpop was initially very excited about the Rock Band Network and wanted to get a lot of music onto it, but I'm not sure what there stance is now.

When have SubPop released their last song on the RBN, probably like 6-8 months ago?

I think it's pretty safe to assume that they were disappointed with the sales and the poor PS3/Wii ports.

Release something good and it will sell. Geez, Subpop wouldn't know anyway from the artists they've signed.

^ So Nirvana & Fleet Foxes are crap, eh?

I can understand them moving away from the RBN, if they can't reach the Wii consumers and the PS3 consumers only very limited.

The New Pornographers didn't even bother to let RockGamer release their previously announced third RBN song "Moves".

how inconvenient can it be though? they don't actually lose money by putting the stuff out on RBN do they?

I guess that depends on how much the lawyer gets paid for working out the contract between the label and authoring group.

But yeah, it seems pretty simple for the label. "We'll give you our material to sell, and we'll get a chunk of that, plus potentially more sales on other services like iTunes? Mmm....NO THANKS."

And If you go with official DLC, I'm sure Harmonix sometimes BUYS the ability to SELL these songs and still kickback some to the labels.
