Completing Grand Theft Auto

Following in the style of Droosies' "Completing Guitar Hero" thread, here is a list of songs in the many Grand Theft Auto titles' radio stations and those on the Rock Band Platform.

This thread is merely for entertainment purposes.

I'll try to update this as Rock Band continues. Let me know if I've missed anything or improperly labeled anything. I don't follow the Rock Band Network too closely, so let me know if any Rock Band Network bands aren't highlighted here.

Per request, songs are color-coded:

Yelllow: Rock Band 1 era On Disc and DLC songs
Blue: Rock Band 2 era On Disc and DLC songs
Lime: Rock Band 3 era On Disc and DLC songs (plus Rock Band Blitz export songs)

The only games and radio stations listed are those that already have at least one song on the Rock Band Platform. I'll add other stations if songs from them later become available.

I'd suggest using different formatting for official DLC (RB3 vs RB1/2 era) and RBN. (Different colors and all that).

    Interesting list.

I'm surprised Atomic is still available. I thought it got pulled.

It did and it is indeed unavailable by the normal RBN Marketplace means but you can still download the song using a link, same with Dandy Warhols effort.

I always thought about this. How about putting the released song at the top of the lists instead of spread out? Also who doesn't want a completion percentage?

    The Wave 103
    3/15 (20% Complete)

Blondie – "Heart of Glass" RB3 On Disc
Frankie Goes to Hollywood – "Relax" RB3 DLC
New Order – "Blue Monday" RB3 DLC

The Human League – "Love Action (I Believe in Love)"

I thought about putting the songs we already have at the top, but I think it looks more colorful having them spread out a bit. (Also, I just copied the lists from the various GTA Wikipedia pages and didn't feel like rearranging :p)

I'll probably do the percentages though....

    *Edit- Percentages are up!

Pretty much the only songs on that list that aren't in Rock Band but are in Guitar Hero are:
Twisted Sister - "I Wanna Rock"
    Slayer - "Raining Blood"
A Flock of Seagulls - "I Ran (So Far Away)"
    Foghat - "Slow Ride"
    Helmet - "Unsung"
    Danzig - "Mother"
Living Colour - "Cult of Personality"
Guns N' Roses - "Welcome to the Jungle"
Rage Against the Machine - "Killing in the Name"
Alice in Chains - "Them Bones"
    Scandal – "The Warrior"
    Kiss – "Lick It Up"

    The Smashing Pumpkins – "1979"
Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band – "Her Strut"
    The Who – "The Seeker"
Edgar Winter Group – "Free Ride"

In a twist of Irony, Welcome to the Jungle is a master in Guitar Hero 3 (Unlike the other songs), yet it doesn't appear in any other games

Kim Wilde - "Kids in America" RB2 On Disc (The Muffs version)
It just made me sad that Kim Wilde was highlighted as being in Rock Band when we just have a version from The Muffs. Personally, I don't like that approach, but if you're going to count covers by different bands, you might as well highlight Talk Talk's "It's My Life" since the No Doubt cover of that song is in Rock Band.

Awesome idea for a thread. Thanks for taking the time to put this together! I've always been curious to see how many GTA songs are in Rock Band. I'd also suggest calculating totals for each game (and then a combined total for the franchise) if that's not too much trouble.

Huh, looks like the disc-based episodes from Liberty City included extra tracks that weren't in the downloadable version of TBOGT. I'll add "Maneater" as well as "The Look."

I was just playing Grand Theft Auto Vice City listening to Wave 103 and thought about how amazing some of these songs would be on Rock Band. Pale Shelter by Tears For Fears and Cars by Gary Numan come to mind from that station. We already have 2 Tears For Fears tracks, I think either that or Shout would make a perfect choice. Gary Numan is a whole 'nother story, and is long overdue.

And what happened to Atomic again, and why can't I find a guitar chart of that on YouTube?
