Once bitten Twice Shy and Mental Health isn't going to sell me just yet bruther. I think it's cool you can transfer it to rock band 3 bruther but I'm not buying this for 2 songs I like bruther. The next 20 songs better be off the charts dude.

Odin Force;4695779 said:The only Gaga song I could see happening is Edge of Glory
CloudWolf;4695788 said:Not Yoü and I? I'd say that song is a lot more Rock Band friendly.
ZigZag2005;4695725 said:I would think it's more likely that RBB is designed to use existing RB folders.

You can see in the trailer the difference between Metal Health (4 tracks, no keys) and Jessie's Girl (5 tracks, keys).Ergo, the number of tracks that appear equate to the number of tracks that the song has on RB.That means there may be the possibility of 3 track songs (YYZ with only lead, bass, and drums) and 2 track songs (Toast from RBN with only drums and vocals).

It just makes sense to increase the output after a new game release, and the audio team will have been done authoring these tracks for a little while now so the manpower should open up.
tnevaker;4695742 said:more interesting would be if they included a way to launch the arcade game from within RB3.especially if you've got a huge DLC library and don't want to have to wait for it to reload when switching between games.
thatmarkguy;4695835 said:Any licensing issues as a result? I'm waiting for the inevitable "The following tracks and artists, whose songs already exist on your hard drive, cannot be played in RBB because of a licensing dispute" list."and is compatible with most of the current Rock Band library of over 3,500 songs"Makes me wonder what exactly is the distinction between most and all. Does 'most' just mean to exclude the RB1 and 2 non-exportables, the RB3 setlist, Hier Kommt Alex and Rock and Roll Star? Or are there new songs to add to the 'labels won't play ball' list?

thatmarkguy;4695799 said:I can understand it being designed to read existing RB folders (to play RBB with old RB DLC and exports). It's a dangerous move to allow it to write to the RB folders (as it would need to to get RB3 to see the new songs). Much safer to have each game have a read-only relationship with any folder that isn't its own native data folder.

Blasteroids;4695850 said:RB3 does not export yet, so I doubt you will be playing that in Blitz I think the statement means, any non RB3 disc song that can be played in RB3 will work in Blitz. I'm wondering if RBN Demo songs work.
FairwoodStudios;4695853 said:I don't remember where he said it, but I believe Nord commented that "Pro upgrades and XBox demos" (referring to RBN demos) will not be available or functional in Blitz.
Cipher_Peon;4695827 said:Thinking about it... Doesn't this make the DLC have even more value than what it is?Buying a 2 dollar song would give you guitar, bass, drums, pro drums, keys, and pro keys on RB3 and then a playable track on Rock Band Blitz! That makes buying DLC even sweeter :O
Lowlander2;4695860 said:As I said, how well the cross-compatability works remains to be seen. I want to see how broken the Andromeda/Chaotrope/Evile/Dream Theater/etc charts are.
firedoom666;4695856 said:according to this Rock Band 3 on-disc songs wont import to Rock Band Blitz and Harmonix has no plans to export RB3 yet
However, you will not be able to export the disc-based Rock Band 3 tracks into Rock Band Blitz, since they don't reside on the hard drive. Asked whether Harmonix was working on an update to allow import of disc tracks as an option, a representative told us, "We don't have plans at this time."
