One of the best comedies ever made, hands down.

Out of all the movies I have seen, I can't say this is one of them.

One of the most brilliantly self aware movies ever made. Guest's finest mockumentary by far. A defining film in my life. CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS ENOUGH.

if there's anything i've learned from that movie. it has to be:
do not become the drummer for Spinal Tap if you want to live long

If one is diagnosed with terminal cancer, then they might as well drum for Spinal Tap since they'll be dead soon anyways.

Who hasn't seen it is a better question?

Those who haven't should be bound, gagged, have their eyes taped open, and be forced to watch it 6 times to make up for lost time not knowing about Spinal Tap.

As for the movie, I only saw it once. It was alright. I liked Best in Show and Drop Dead Gorgeous better.

I own the DVD and pick up awesome references and allusions every time I watch. The movie is very dry.

    Four words:

    It Goes To Eleven

    Best Mockumentary ever.

A Mighty Wind is also quite funny if you like the genre.

A Mighty Wind is great. My favorite Mockumentaries are Best In Show, Drop Dead Gorgeous, and Waiting for Guffman.

Spinal Tap is almost an infinitely rewatchable movie. I pick up little details every time I watch it.

Worth noting though that, even though it's a favorite of mine, I didn't fall in love with it the first time I saw it. Definitely liked it a lot, otherwise I wouldn't have watched it again, but I didn't truly appreciate it until my second viewing.

The first time you watch it its weird, because the movie is the most deceptively subtle comedy I know of. Many people actually thought this was a real documentary when they saw it.

I think he likes to pretend he doesn't know things from time to time. It's funny in doses, but yeah this was completely unnecessary.

Possibly, but it's certainly not something to be proud of :)

Either way though, I guess he was just responding to my little query.
