Ready for another day full of RBN announcements, game play reveals, contests, and who knows what?

Let's get this circus started!

First up if you've been following us from the beginning (before we were known as TAG even), you might remember that we initially had a huge list of artists that was working with us, and of course if it's time (as in they decided they didn't have time to devote to the process), the slowing sales/closing of GH, labels not wanting to play ball, or any number of other things, some of those original artists eventually fell by the wayside.

I've never given up on trying to get each and every one of that original list into the game, and today we can mark another one off that list.

So with that we're happy to announce that we're working with Bryan Scott (founder and former lead singer of the early 2000's band Union Underground) to bring tracks from his newest band Cult To Follow!

The first track we're working on is Leave it All Behind, and you can check it out here :
http://youtu.be/E8bXyzscqcw

We've got a lot more announcements and shenanigans to come through the day, and I know there's a lot of the other authoring groups with lots to announce so stay tuned!

Here's another new band we're working with. Memory of a Melody :

Memory of a Melody combines pounding, thrashy riffs with catchy, melodic vocals to create a type of metal with an undeniable mass appeal.

Memory of a Melody is a 5 piece from San Antonio, TX. Having paid its dues working club shows, touring, and opening for immensely popular touring acts, the band has quickly risen to local dominance through high energy stage shows and an unforgettable array of songs.

After much demand by fans for an album, MOAM enlisted producer Bryan Scott to begin work on their debut record “Things That Make You Scream." An album that boldly attacks the blandness of modern rock by wrapping pounding rhythms, and intricate guitar work around catchy, hard-edged vocals. The diverse collection of songs masterfully demonstrates the band's ability to pummel and thrash while fitting in perfectly with radio rock.

The first track we're working on is the title track of the album "Things That Make You Scream." :

I'm kind of new to this spotlight thread thing, so is this a place where authoring groups announce their content, or just one authoring group. I feel really stupid for asking this, but I didn't want to look like an idiot, anyway.

Its for all. Only reason why it looks like one is because TAG is the only big group that does it.

Ok, lol, well I do have a couple of announcements for today.

They are both mainly preview videos of songs I announced about a month ago.

We have Snow Zombies [NSFR Mix] coming to Rock Band. This is a collaboration between me and Askari Nari to make an awesome remix. Here's the video preview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfXaWGRlPWM&feature=plcp

I am also bringing the first track from "I'm Nekkid" toRock Band. (NOTE: The preview video has a charting error in the talkies, which will be fixed.) VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytY8AhzuMO0&feature=channel&list=UL

Every authoring group and author is invited and encouraged to announce as much stuff as they like. I know it seems like we always announce a lot, but that's probably just because I have diarrhea of the mouth...err...fingers as the case may be.

But the more the merrier when it comes to the announcement threads!

I just usually do most our announcements in the morning, and the other groups arrive later in the day :)

First one of the day from us here at ASP!

We're working with Chicago based pop-punk band Adora to bring their new single "Skeleton" to the RBN!

Staring in early 2010, Adora takes foot in the underground Chicago music scene consisting of drummer Chris Eckstrum, vocalist Stormie Radtke, guitarist Michael Drew, and Keith Pink on piano. The band has been writing and growing as a four-piece, putting out classy grooves with catchy dark hooks. Casey Bates, Ed Littman, Matt Dalton, and D.R.U.G.S. vocalist, Craig Owens, are renown engineers that took producing roles of the band's first EP titled "Save Yourself." The band hit hard on the stage later that year at a sold out House Of Blues performance. Following the hype they continue to their energy to places such as the Chicago Metro, Double Door, and Cornerstone Festival just to name a few.

"We just like to get up there and do our thing," the band quotes influencing indie-rock minds around the country and beyond. Adora continues to gather support in the states, and other national countries such as the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Mexico, Canada; who play a big role in supporting the young groups international record sales.

With a rapidly growing fan-base and positive mood, the band is releasing their second EP titled "One Word" on iTunes March 6, 2012.

Click here to check out "Skeleton", don't forget to check these guys (and gal) out on Facebook if you like what ya hear!

Ozone Entertainment is here to show off two upcoming songs. The first, I actually revealed last night by the artist's request, but the second is something fresh.

RBN2 FIRST LOOK: "Naughty Naughty" by John Parr
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4K6AI4eCazg

After the release of "Pac-Man Fever", I started getting requests to bring more 80's music to the RBN. And I didn't want to do a re-record again, I wanted to get my hands on authentic 80's masters. Well, mission accomplished.

John Parr is a rocker most well-known for his mega hit "St. Elmo's Fire". The song we got, "Naughty Naughty", is his first single from his self-titled album and peaked at #23 on the Billboard Top 100, and #1 on Mainstream Rock charts. This song is playfully raunchy and totally 80's, and I'm sure you guys will love it.

Here's the music video if you want to check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UY9VGQERxMA

RBN FIRST LOOK: "The City" by The Giraffes
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltzjgnXmjeU

We mentioned that the entire Ruled album was coming at last year's E3. Well, we weren't kidding, just the masters took a while to get here. But here is the second track, and it's 7 minutes long. Good luck with it.

You can see the preview video for "The Border", the other song we've shown off from Ruled, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhwNTloiK98

So, electric violin, anyone? Oh, and I'm not just talking about any electric violinist, I'm talking about the Jimi Hendrix of the violin. He's Joe Deninzon and Stratospheerius, and they will be bringing six progressive tracks to the Rock Band Network. Three tracks from the upcoming album, The New World. . ., will be coming, along with three tracks from the album Headspace. You need to hear them below, you just need to.

    Flashbot
    Gods
    Road Rage

    Gutterpunk Blues
    Heavy Shtettle II
    Mental Floss

I'm also seeing about getting the live version of this track, which is IMO his best song (the original recording has been lost, unfortunately).

EDIT: Wow, I just got an email while typing this, I will have another awesome announcement later today (your wallets will be baroke when you see it, and that typo is intentional).

Will the violin be charted to keys? Since I can hear clearly electric guitar as backtrack to the violin part.

If I can get good sheet music for the violin part, then yes, it will be keys. If I can't, then I don't know, really, I know I won't be able to hear it out by ear. I'd probably either switch guitar between (like the live Kansas tracks) the two or put violin on bass.
