The last songs need to open the doors to casual gamers, and the hardcore RB alike. The list so far is just a mess with filler aiming for different interest groups. Heres hoping to getting big names with song that will sell, especially had it been regular DLC.

Avenged Sevenfold -- Burn It Down
They've been released every summer for DLC, represented in 2/3 core titles and are highly requested. I'm not sure on my pick, but I honestly prefer City of Evil material.

    The B-52s -- Love Shack
They've had DLC near the launch of the game, Fred had an interview with HMX ages ago and had Rock Lobster in RB3. This is the most well known song, and would be a huge get.

    [B]Blue

Yeah, this too. I'd actually prefer Charlie Brown over Paradise for the game, it's my favorite off Mylo Xyloto. But alas, I'd guess Paradise would be the better option for name recognition that might lead to more impulse buys from the casuals.

Also, to whoever said R.E.M. and The Killers: Make it happen, HMX!

Too bad I'm not interested in this game (nor most of the songs announced so far), but dagnabbit that Collective Sould went here. Wish we could have gotten Shine during the RB2 days.

    The Turtles - Happy Together
    Disturbed - Liberate
Electric Light Orchestra - Mr. Blue Sky

I know that the Who wouldn't necessarily be expected for a game like this, but I wouldn't discount them yet. "5:15" in particular was brought up and I could see that fitting really well.
A few other songs fit in with the vibe, "Sister Disco" comes to mind.

A few other guesses of possible songs...
The Cure - "Close To Me"
Foo Fighters - "Cheer Up Boys (Your Makeup is Running)"
Iggy Pop - "Lust For Life"
    Jane's Addiction - "Stop!"
    Nena - 99 Luftballoons
    Pearl Jam - "Go"
    Weezer - "Smart Girls"

    My guess:

    1) Train- Drive By
    2) Hall & Oates- You Make My Dreams Come True
    3) Lady Gaga- Edge of Glory
    4) Eddie Money- Take Me Home Tonight
    5) Linkin Park- Burn it Down
    6) Stevie Wonder- Signed Sealed Delivered
    7) Huey Lewis- If This Is It
    8) Killers- Somebody Told Me
    9) Fun- We Are Young
    10) Nena- 99 Luftballoons

So I realize that these are all poppy/rock and not too metal, so I'm probably wrong on 2-4 of them, and those are all metal.

    Runners Up from my Wish-List:

    11) Don McLean- American Pie
    12) Johnny Cash- Hurt
    13) Neon Trees- Your Surrender
    14) Keane- Somewhere Only We Know
    15) Snow Patrol- Open Your Eyes
    16) Coldplay- Charlie Brown
    17) Bruno Mars/Cee-Lo- Otherside
    18) ABBA- Winner Takes it All
    19) Panic! at the Disco- Memories
    20) Mika- Grace Kelly

We know there are ten more songs (although they did change their claim from 20+ to 25, depending on the source). And most people's predictions seem to be based on trends (artists that have a lot of DLC) or strange heretofore exclusions from DLC (see: Love Shack).

With the information I posted in the OP, I think we all can make some reasonable guesses as to what the final 10 songs are. There have also been songs and artists hinted at over the past several months (such as "You Spin Me Right Round") that haven't been released or confirmed yet, but could likely make an appearance in Blitz.

Its also just a matter of looking back at the DLC released over the past year or so. Of the 15 artists we already know, 6 of them have had DLC released in past 9 months. It's very likely that those songs were licensed with the artists' other songs that were released previously; and it's a good chance that they did the same thing with other artists that have had DLC over the same time period.

Yellowcard - Light Up The Sky.

Reasoning: Yellowcard has 2 songs already in rockband, and since songs are typically licenced in 3s, it makes a good chance for this. This song was their single at the time when the songs were licenced [Approx 6 months before the first Yellowcard song hit the store, so June of 09']

Makes sense to me, and I'd be REALLY happy. :3

They added to the news post the official press release announcing the eleven additional songs and it states that additional songs will be announced "this summer". So, it would seem that we will be guessing for a while since Summer does not begin until June 21st.

Edit P.S.: I am not complaining by the way, just letting everyone know. I am quite satisfied by the already revealed songs.

And yeah, it's 1 part USL, 1 part bands that are already in RB, favor on those recently released.

Eleven, eh? So that would bring us up to 26. I have a sneaking suspicion that "Dani California" will be born again through RBB.

Some people don't always adhere to strict definitions of seasonal dates. When a snowstorm hits on December 18, people still tend to call it a 'winter storm'. Men in Black 3 is considered a "Summer Movie". Most people don't describe early June (uncoincidentally, when E3 happens) as 'springtime'.

I expect Blitz to be seen and played in near-final form and with full setlist at E3.

"Dani California" has already been born again. "Give It Away" is the lost child RHCP export.

Eleven were "officially" announced yesterday. Four were previously "officially" announced. 11 + 4 = 15. We should expect at least 6 more songs to be announced in the future, maybe more. Official word is "20+". Only HMX knows for sure.

The majority of the people can be incorrect, but that is really a moot argument in this situation. E3 is only a week away. If they intended to reveal the setlist in a week, it would make more sense to say something like "in the near future" or "very soon", rather than "this summer".

People are just hopeful. If the game is a summer release, the setlist should be out somewhat before it. I could see an almost full reveal at E3.

Maybe they'll include "Imagine" by John Lennon. That's a nice song, right? :P

Ummm... YEAH, I think the pushback would be much less for having those take up two of the 25 slots than for Give It Away and Spoonman to be paid-for DLC.

From where I'm sitting, this is the most hilariously entertaining forum thread I've read all year.

Several of you have gotten multiple songs (artist AND title) correct.

Also interesting is that we have some Blitz songs which haven't even been mentioned here yet.

    Thanks. Please continue...
