I guessed Owl City for the Wall-E song, and I was right. Yay :)

I'm stoked for "Fireflies". "In My Head" is a really meh song for me, and I don't really get the hype for AvA. They're like a less interesting blink-182 in my opinion.

IMO, Power and the Passion was the last classic rock we had.

Iron Maiden falls into that for some.

    You can argue P&tP.

But true classic rock as in classic rock station classic rock would be the Eddie Money single.

Having to go back and look at old DLC and RBN to find anything to add.

If you're going to the RBN, get Devin Townsend's Ziltoid The Omniscient album if you don't have it.

    Like?

    What?!?
Because Angels and Airwaves is the guy from Blink 182's side band.

What's with the higher than usual classic rock persecution complex this week? We've definitely been getting more classic rock than indie (2 songs in over a year and a half).

    one song, 6 weeks ago.

The last before that was "I guess" Men at Work in March, but that's a stretch. Really it's the Creedance pack in January.

Not at all. See, I play bass in a Qotsa cover band and in a Foo Fighters cover band, and I assure you, the notes are not even similar. Not even the time signature, not even the song key.

And when you add in how long it had been before that, 1 track in that period is hardly enough. It's a squirt of piss to a thirsty man in a desert.

Anybody else notice this in the blog?:
Angels & Airwaves and Owl City make their Rock Band debuts and Queens of the Stone Age adds another track to their Rock Band catalog.

    Lol...no.

How quickly HMX forgets Scene Pack 1 in 2008.

Guess I need to tone back on hoping for a B-52's pack...
At first I figured it would be a pack, but we really don't know that for sure, since the announcement didn't specify. What happened last year?

    [does research]

Interesting, in the tease from 2011, they told us exactly how many songs to expect from each artist.

Avenged Sevenfold: "one song from their latest album Nightmare, and one classic fan-favorite A7X track"
    Poison: "three-pack of hits"
System of a Down: "Two of the most often requested tracks"
    Soundgarden: "six-pack of classic songs"

Without any other information this year, it's best to expect no more than a single from each of the 2012 tease artists. If we get more, consider it a bonus.

'Alone', by Heart, was released in 1984. 7 Years after '2 Tickets'

1984 to me is not classic rock, but I'll give you that.

But I have never heard 'Alone' on a classic rock station.

So indifferent and uninspired for all of this DLC. Nothing new for this year's stuff though.

Of course the only one with good keys is my least favorite .

One of these days I'd like to feel excited for some DLC again.
