Interested artist... Next steps?

So I have been chatting with a band with some serious talents that I think would make a perfect fit for the RBN. They are interested, especially since they have been giving away their music for free since the beginning of their career. I have been purchasing songs from the RBN weekly since rollout, but never looked into authoring/playtesting, so I am unsure of what the next steps are and what kind of information I should give the band. Would anyone be interested in assisting? Here are a couple of examples of tracks;

I am certain that this has been asked before, so my apologies if this is a repost. Besides, you never know if the process has changed since a post! ;) I am also hoping an interested authoring group might see the thread and take the reins! I have found this; http://creators.rockband.com/docs/Authoring but am curious if the band is expected to do all this work? They may be willing to, but if not, is that what authoring groups do?

An inevitable question; are the samples from movies that are present in these tracks going to be an issue due to licensing, copyright, the man, etc? Also, how profitable is the typical unknown band in the RBN? I realize this can vary greatly, but an idea would be helpful. Any information/tips/interest will be greatly appreciated! Thanks, all!

    An authoring group does the authoring and such for the artists. Some ask for a payment, other ask for a share of the earnings. The band doesn't have to do all the work if they can find an interested authoring group.

    As for the movie clips, more likely than not it'll cause copyright concerns, since they are soundbites owned by big companies. Unless they have a legal form stating that they can reuse the samples and such in productions outside of the album. I was working with a band with a song called Troll 2. It used a sample from the movie with the same name, and I was told not to use the sample. Of coarse, later we found that the masters for that song were gone, and we ended up not using it, but that's a different story.
