edited November 2013 in Rock Band
I know this was already covered in the Completing Other Music Games thread, but that hasn't been updated for a while (the Rocksmith DLC section there is outdated), and I figured I would take the liberty of making a list that's solely Rocksmith and is up to date.

Song has been released.
Song has been released through Rock Band Network.
Song has been released with a pro guitar/bass upgrade.
Not released yet.
Confirmed, but not released.

The Black Keys - Gold on the Ceiling
The Black Keys - Just Got to Be
The Black Keys - Mind Eraser
The Black Keys - Tighten Up
The Black Keys - Next Girl

I'm glad we don't have these songs for RB at this point. We got so many of their songs in RS that I got sick of them pretty quick (was never a big fan to begin with). The last thing I need is to play them in any shape or form in RB.

Thanks for putting together this list! I think it would be better to more clearly separate the RB songs that have Pro guitar/bass upgrades available, like in a separate section or in a different color, rather than just putting the 'X' after them. I guess if you put them in a separate section, then you could keep the color scheme that you currently use.

Please... PLEASE color the songs with Pro Upgrades a different color instead of having an X right next to it. My pleads were ignored in the last thread.

How the heck have we not gotten "House of the Rising Sun" yet? Is it too late to hope it will show up on Blitz? A lot of these I don't really care about, but a few like that are pretty stinging omissions for RB.
Yeah, but I'm even more puzzled by "Sunshine of Your Love" and "(Can't Get No) Satisfaction." They are in BOTH Rocksmith and Guitar Hero. You've got to think Rock Band would want both of these songs.

Possibly wasn't recorded with stems usable in RB since it's from so long ago.

Had the same thought in answer to my question. Boy, you'd think there'd be some way around that for these great songs, though. The Stones have surely done a live version of their song lately, for instance, which would be better than nothing.

Sunshine of Your Love was a cover from GH one, that shouldn`t really count and Satisfaction is a live track.

I used the same color scheme and format that dog037 did. But sure, I will get on that.

Seriously ;~; It is the perfect addition for Rock Band, those amazing keys. I don't understand why we can't get the masters if we've had other 60's songs in Rock Band before.

You seriously believe that because some 60s songs exist it automatically clears up all issues with HotRS' masters?

Well I'm not the expert on masters. I'm sure there's complications with some bands' master tracks.

Anyways, color-coded the songs with pro upgrades. Should be all good now.

Now could somebody help me with the percent of the songs we have in RB in both sections? I'm not very good with percentages.

The Pat Benatar song has the wrong release date. I noticed just glancing over the list so I'm not sure if there are others.

Also want 3 Doors Down- Loser. There are others but that's the only one I'd put high up.

... and then do it the other way!
(i.e., percent of Pro songs in Rock Band that Rocksmith has too)
Wait, how many Pro Guitar / Pro Bass songs are there in Rock Band now? 200? More?

I'm pretty sure plenty of posters here can tell you it's incorrect. I can check the in game store and get you the right date.

I don't understand why the official song page on this site would be wrong though.

Glitch or placeholder date they forgot to change(being that that was rb1's release date, which is how I knew it wasn't right). And thanks www1221, I was getting there but the store was slow for me.

Well I know they released a bunch of DLC on the launch date of Rock Band but I had a hunch that that wasn't one of the songs released.

Yeah I have all the launch dlc committed to memory(as well as the following few weeks). It's weird that I remember these kinds of things. xD

Upcoming Rocksmith DLC: "My Girl" by the Temptations, "What's Going On" by Marvin Gaye, and (Sittin' On The) Dock of the Bay" by Otis Redding. That's another to check off! I'll update this once it gets released.

    Muse - Unnatural Selection
    Muse - Plug in Baby
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Higher Ground
The Rolling Stones - (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction
The Allman Brothers Band - Jessica
The Blues Brothers - Soul Man
    Lamb of God - Redneck

but looking at the RockSmith's setlist... I think it is horrible but almost all the DLC is amazing (with most of it already being in Rock Band)

A minor nit--Seth Chapla is part of the Rocksmith team (and maybe one or two others listed) and not really a recording artist, though he has a gigging band. I don't think you can buy a recording of that song. (I think that another of his pieces is an unlockable in the game? EDIT: It was called "Jules").

WOW, we are missing some amazing songs in Rock Band that are in this other game. These are some of my favorite songs EVER. But we'll probably never seen most of them because they're not from the last couple of years...
