The Duke is Taunting Me!

Seriously. It seems like on a majority of songs, I wind up just under The Duke and I can't seem to pass him. I'm sure he's laughing, or at least trying to with all those straps.

Apparently he's taunting others, I found this picture elsewhere.

Yeah, that Duke can be a real jerk sometimes.

The Duke is a soulless machine of pure golden rock.

    He does not laugh

    He rocks

    He does not cry

    He rocks

    He does not care

    He rocks

Let's end this thread. There is no better or clearer explanation of why The Duke is what he is.

I'm just glad Dora Sullivan isn't chosen as the final opponent.

Losing to the Duke I can handle.

Losing to Dora Sullivan on the otherhand................................

Fortunately, Dora's pretty easy to beat.

There's a rather poor taste joke in that sentence I won't touch.

Blitz is one of my favorite games of all time because there isn't any other game where I absolutely crush Dora Sullivan 100% of the time

    I hate Dora so much

^ I shout with joy every time I see that You Defeated your Rival message after she appears.

Would be better if she was literally on the TRACK and I could shoot bottle rockets and giant pinballs at her though.

Screw getting high scores, JUST TAKE DOWN DORA!

That's for the sequel, Rock Band Kart.

^ I kinda forgot the right word to use :-p

As a sidenote, I'd be lying if I said Rock Band Kart doesn't kinda appeal to me

The Duke is so cool, he never actually gets gold stars.

But he does get exactly one point away, so he kicks ass most of the time. I admit I've only bested him two or three times.

There any other characters between Dora and Mothership Q? I've noticed Moosejaw, Dora, Q, and The Duke of Gravity.
  • Bront20Bront20 The Writing's on the Wall

Moosejaw I think is 3 stars, Dora is 4, Mothership Q is 5, and The Duke is gold.

I've heard rumors that Pope was 1 star in development.

I'm grateful for the presence of the Duke. Before, we had no way of seeing how close we were to gold stars.

But, the picture of being ABOVE him and yet not getting Gold is screwed up.

The Duke can be found hanging out with Fake Steven Tyler and Dave Grohl in one of the 500 gas stations in Rock City. Seriously, though, there are a LOT of gas stations.

I found the Jackpot power up plus Super Guitar (solo heavy songs) and Blast Notes to be The Duke's weakness.

It's his score at that point in time, so at the very end, it's pre-bonuses. That's why.

Exactly! I was going to post this exact comment.

I'm detecting a huge amount of hostility towards Dora Sullivan in this thread and will stand for it no longer. Sure, back in the RockBand 2 days she was a little chubby. But I was nice to her back then. Now she's a couple years older, she lost that extra weight, and became smoking hot. I think you're all just jealous.

First time I saw her she was singing a cover of Paramore's Crushcrushcrush. After the song she tried to stage dive. While I immediately jumped in front of her, all you FOOLS jumped out of the way. Long story short, she landed on me, and I stared up into her purple eyes through her sexy librarian glasses. She stared back down at me and smiled. I think I'd better end this fan fiction right here.

Dora was always flaunting her boobs and distracting me from the song I was playing. She got what was coming to her.

Dora is one of two females in my band. The other is a girl named Fantasy (red hair, librarian glasses, tall, thin, pretty... the works). The camera panned to both of them dancing back to back. I lost my note streak.

Just a knock-off quote that would fit the game (Rock Band Blitz), which I made up.

You both know it was a joke originally came from Roddy Piper from They Live and not Duke Nukem, right? Give credit where it is due.
