THE GROHL GOAL
- Play 55 distinct songs.
- Mark our words, this goal shall become your white whale. Or if you don't know Moby Dick references, this is going to be really frickin' hard to complete. Dave Grohl has played on more songs that are in Rock Band than any other artist on the planet. PLAY THEM ALL TO COMPLETE THIS. (hint: You can play this goal in both RB3 and RB Blitz!)

* If I include Foo , QotSA, Them Crooked Vultures, Nirvana, and The D then there are 61 tracks. The 2 RB3 songs might not count, but listing them anyway. Not sure about getting down to 54 though cause the descriptions says play all of his songs. If anyone is a Grohl expert and knows if he didn't play on some of these maybe?
** Removed the 3 Nirvana Bleach songs, 4 QotSA so we are at 54 now.
*** Now 55 songs, added NIN - The Collector

Grohl did drums on Nine Inch Nails' "The Hand That Feeds", no?

According to wikipedia (i know, not 100% reliable) he played on the album but not on that track. It doesn't list anyone specifically on that track so maybe it was purely drum machine?

Grohl didn't drum on any of the QotSA songs available except "Go With The Flow" and "No One Knows", also he wasn't a member of Nirvana until Nevermind so the Bleach pack shouldn't count.

Yeah, after a little more research I see the list of songs on the album he played on, and The hand That Feeds is, apparently, not one of them.

From the Grohl Discography wiki page:

Percussion on "All the Love in the World", drums on "You Know What You Are?", "The Collector", "Every Day Is Exactly the Same", "Getting Smaller", "Sunspots" and "The Line Begins to Blur".

That Grohl Goal looks insane! Should be 30,000 coins instead lol

For anyone that wants to make a definitive list, just keep refreshing the goal page and write all the song suggestions until you total 54

Now the question becomes, did HMX realize he played drums on The Collector?

If we're going for more grohl stuff, Playing "I think I'm paranoid" by Garbage counts toward the dave grohl goal/achievement in rock band 3. Do you think this song would count for the goal?

I am having a very hard time finding out the seven flying songs. I found out six of them, any idea for the last one?

    Works:
Miley Cyrus - Fly on the Wall
Iron Maiden - Flight of Icarus
Ozzy Osbourne - Flying High Again
Steve Miller Band - Fly Like an Eagle
    Rush - Fly by Night
Foo Fighters - Learn to Fly

    Does Not Work:
    Airplanes - B.O.B
    Aerials - SoaD
    Aces High(Live) - Iron Maiden
The Crow & the Butterfly - Shinedown
Flightless Bird, American Mouth - Iron & Wine
Icarus - Borne on the Wings of Steel(Live) - Kansas

Just searching on songs list for 'fly' or 'flight' that are on both platforms:

    Tiny Danza - Beat Fly
Offspring - Pretty Fly for a White Guy
Thomas Walker - Flight of the Bumblebee

Will update first post once we know all 7.

Well, HMX just got another $16 out of me, bought the latest Foo & Nirvana packs + New Fang. These goals & Blitz in general definitely should help to move some more undecided DLC purchases

If "Fly on the Wall" counts, I'd suspect The Offspring - "Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)" might as well. They probably just did every song in HMX DLC / discs that contained the words "Fly", "Flying", or "Flight".

Failing that, I might try HIM - "Wings of a Butterfly"

It was a typo, the way I phrased it didn't even make sense. :P Meh, I just wish they would do more of these guessing goals. It was fun to try and find out the songs.

I would prefer the goals were a little more subset-based rather than requiring the complete exact DLC list. Something like "Play 6 of the 9 songs on our mystery list (insert clue here)". So you don't have to buy a Miley song if you want to complete the goal.

Ah, well, if the same bug I exploited for Parenthetically Speaking still works, I'll be able to complete this goal with the 4 songs I have anyway (play the 3 I can in Blitz and all 4 of them in RB3).

Maiden, Ozzy, Offspring, Rush, Miley. If someone owns 4 of these, which is likely to be the omission?

Fly Like An Eagle is on the RB3 disc. Nobody can play it in Blitz.

You should have Fly Like An Eagle if you have RB3. All you have to do is go on RB3 and play it.

They added The Collector by Nine Inch Nails to that Grohl goal. I saw that they added it, but I didn't know what. Then I saw it in the suggestion box. Welp, time to play some NIN.

Thank you to whoever mentioned he was in a NIN song. It only lengthened the goal...That's a bad thing...

Yeah it is 55 and I can confirm that playing the same song once in RB3 and Blitz counts as 2 songs.
