DLC Prediction thread for 10/9

TKSTKS Road Warrior
edited October 2012 in Rock Band
Since it's now thursday officially and I don't see it posted yet, here's the prediction thread for the dlc week of 10/9,

Here's my predictions, I'm making a couple of them

Coheed and Cambria pack 02
The Suffering
Domino The Destitute
Feathers

All Time Low pack 01
Coffee Shop Soundtrack
Damned If I do ya ( Damned if i don't)
Dear Maria, Count Me In
The Reckless and The Brave
For Baltimore
Somewhere in Neverland

I know it's probably extremely unlikely we'll get a six pack in these times, but I wasn't sure how to narrow it down to a three pack; I couldn't decide.

I've had these predictions in my head all week. It's pretty rare I even can think of predictions at all lol

"L'Via L'Viaquez" by The Mars Volta
    "Unsung" by Helmet
"That's Not My Name" by The Ting Tings

Fits the hint, and how long have I waited for some Ting Tings and Mars Volta, normally I wouldn't be so optimistic to get bands I've been waiting for forever, but we finally got 311 so I feel my wishes are more likely to be the new artists.

EDIT: also, every week posrt blitz has featured at least one artist who formed or was popular in the 90's, and Helmet formed in 1989 so they kinda count...I guess..

If I knew harmonies would happen, I could have waited until that. But now that we're two years into harmonies? Step it up.

One of the livestreams. I missed it but I saw people post about it elsewhere.

Well, without the new artists hint I'd say it's Coheed & Cambria. I guess it could still be a single from them + two other songs from two new artists. I'm not getting my hopes up, though.

oh ok, well then. I'm gonna throw out a handful of singles from new to rb artists. Admittedly this is going to be biased because these are being thought of by me scrolling through my ipod.

"Viking Death March" by Billy Talent
"My Friends over You" by New Found Glory
    "1985" by Bowling For Soup
    "Say Anything (Else)" by Cartel
"Everything Is Alright" by Motion City Soundtrack
    "Letters to You" by Finch

Billy Talent and Bowling For Soup have had somewhat recent album releases and are currently going on tours to promote those new albums. It hasn't happened yet but New Found Glory has a tour starting next month I believe. The other three are pretty much random

I think its time to rock the 80's with something like this:

The Scorpions - Rock you like a Hurricane
Autograph - Turn up the Radio
    Winger - Can't get enuff

    or maybe:

Robert Palmer - Addicted to Love
ZZ Top - Sharp Dressed Man
    Slaughter - Up All Night

Yeah this hint has kinda bummed me out, because I really wanted more from either of the two bands I posted in the first post I did here.

Four new artists in the next two weeks? That's likely either a 3-pack one week and 3 singles the next, or 2 singles from one band and a single from another both weeks.

Hoping for a nice mix of genres...It's been a few weeks since we had something New Wave, and HMX seems to like to give us one hit wonders with some frequency. I'll guess one band from one of the following:

Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come On, Eileen
Modern English - Melt With You
    Soft Cell - Tainted Love

We've been getting a lot of what I think of as Butt Rock lately...I've heard a lot of people request Alter Bridge and I seem to remember them being high on the Facebook list. I don't know 'em well though, so I won't bother to list any songs.

Also high on the Facebook list is Reel Big Fish. Either "Sell Out" or "Beer" would be amazing.

For some reason, I'm feeling the Fray. Maybe a 3-pack with "How to Save a Life" "Cable Car" and "You Found Me." That would be nice.

There you go, some combination of those for the 4 new artists.

    • Public Enemy - Fight the Power

I don't have any clues this week. This is interesting for future releases, tho:

Sure, It comes out in December, but... we haven't got any SP since forever.

I predict a singles week with 1 song still following the pattern of getting 90s recently, the structure is possible if next week is a singles week of 3 new artists:
    Spice Girls - "Wannabe"
    DragonForce - "Cry Thunder" (X)
    DragonForce - "Seasons"

DragonForce was chosen because we only have 2 songs by them, haven't had any metal via HMX since Blitz and their newest album "The Power Within" came out almost 6 months ago so if HMX started trying for it around then it should be ready around now.

"Speedin' Back To My Baby" - Ace Frehley

    Edit 2:
Oh the livestreams, got it. In that case:

"Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)" - Eurythmics
"Walking In L.A." - Missing Persons

Your original prediction was fine. The only criteria for the hint is that the next 2 weeks combined introduces 4 new artists to RB.

The Fresh Beat Band Pack 01:

    Just Like A Rockstar
    A Friend Like You
    Let's Play

Their newest CD is coming out next week, that's my rationale. Should be tons of fun for younger players, and singers/keyboardists alike.

4 new artists in 2 weeks means 1 of 2 things is probably going to happen...either A) 1 new band with 1 song and 1 new band with 2 songs each week or B) 3 new bands with 1 song one week and 1 new band with a 3 pack 1 week. Im gonna go with "A". Also none will be from the 70s....again. Also each week will include 1 crappy nu metal(ish) band because its pretty obvious someone at HMX has a thing for crappy nu metal.

    This week:
Fountains of Wayne - Stacys Mom
    Taproot - Poem
    Taproot - No Surrender

    Next week:
    Crossfade - Cold
Hootie & The Blowfish - Only Wanna Be With You
Hootie & The Blowfish - Hold My Hand

    OR
    C) 1 song from 1 new band and 2 songs from returning artist(s) 1 week and 3 new bands with 1 song the other week.
