Also, Went through the entire series of Sense8. Man that was an addicting show with good compelling characters and could be the best thing the Wachowski's ever made.
Sense8 may be my favorite thing Netflix has produced, and I like a lot of their original content. (That they they license simulcasts of some of my favorite shows abroad also helps. People keep on ragging on Netflix Switzerland for their meager movie selection, but their TV library is fairly deep, particularly since we don't get any other streaming services except for a variation on Amazon Prime.)
Finally got through the first two seasons of Atlanta and Insecure. Great shows, not sure they're really sitcoms (I think Atlanta is moreso than Insecure) but I was pretty mesmerized by them.
This week's Legends of Tomorrow may be the most meta this show's ever meta'd, and I don't know whom to thank for this glorious mess. These last two seasons do a fantastic job making up for the slog that was the first season.

I stopped watching this after the first season. its so hard to properly pull off time travel with the paradigm problems it presents

You were right to stop watching the first season; start from the second, where it improves by leaps and bounds. Essentially, the writers' room comes to realize that these people are time idiots that happen to, against all odds, occasionally save the day. I mean, here's a sampling of things that have happened this season:
Beat Julius Caesar using Tinder (okay, a Tinder-like app)
Had to deal with a bunch of Vikings who believed Tickle Me Elmo (okay, it was a Tickle Me Elmo ripoff, but still) was their god
Saved Memphis from Elvis' haunted guitar
Prevented Helen of Troy from turning a Hollywood Studio rivalry into an all-out war
This week, [spoiler removed for the most ridiculous thing in the history of ridiculousness ever, but let's just say there's a reason the episode is titled "Guest Starring John Noble"]

I mean, last year, George Lucas was in possesion of the reality warping spear that killed Jesus Christ
is this real or just an entertainment thing? last thing I read was that spear was lost after Hitler got it from a place in warsaw.
The spear was the Macguffin of Season 2 of LoT. "Reality-warping" should have been your tipoff about the "real or not" question.
well the reason i asked, many archeologists have speculated the real spear of destiny could warp reality in some ways (like causing people to walk on water). granted it is only speculation until they can find it.

Well, George Lucas doesn't have it.
Also, the ending to LoT S3 solidifies it as the best of the Arrowverse shows (Black Lightning not being part of that for now). Because reasons (mostly: it is hilarious and I really, really don't want to spoil the final battle, but I needed an a** to replace the one that fell off while I was laughing).
Last night's Westworld episode was nothing short of remarkable. It was a side-story episode, and while those have been known to be notoriously bad (that sidestory episode in season 2 of Stranger Things; that whole season of sidestory episodes The Walking Dead had once), this one did *everything* right. It was a deep dive into the story of a character that had been a menacing bit player so far, and Zahn McClarnon's spotlight hour here, as Akecheta, the leader of the Ghost Nation tribe, was phenomenal.
Watched the first 2 episodes of Pose. I like them very much. it's got many of the ryan murphy flaws like unnatural dialogue and some bad acting but the story is relevant and touching at times.
Ryan Murphy and unnatural dialogue is more of a feature and less of a bug. Like Aaron Sorkin or David Mamet, if you go into it knowing who it is, it's kinda what you sign up for because it's what you're looking for.
The Sinner was absolutely riveting. First season is a self contained murder mystery with sooo many twists and turns you won't know what to believe. Incredible acting from Jessica Biel and Bill Pullman. It's on Netflix and only 8 episodes long. Go watch it! There's a 2nd season premiering on August 1st on USA with at least one returning cast member and a totally new story.
Godless was also an excellent watch. It's a Netflix original western with an especially great performance by Jeff Daniels. It's a limited series, so only 7 episodes.
Anyone else going to give Castle Rock a try on the 25th (only on Hulu)? I'll be tryin it eventually. I loved the stories that take place in Castle Rock in Stephen King's books but I've read early reviews and the way they made it sound turns me away sort of. Still will give it a try...
It was very, very entertaining, incredibly darkly funny, and beautiful to watch and listen to. Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh were acting standouts in completely different ways that meshed well together. I can't wait for Season Two.
Wow I watch the season finale of Steven Universe and I'm speechless! Really, it was stunning and emotional... Wow
my wife and I have been watching steven universe since it started. we both just got done watching this last special and it was done well, although there were some parts that was just weird. I loved the message in this episode and would love to see society as a whole take this message to heart. it would help calm down all the hate that exists today.

Yeah, totally agree with you. Do you think this episode was the original series finale? (before they confirm the movie and another new season next year).

the way they ended it with a solution to all the conflict, yes. I think the series has hit its peak and its all down hill from here. ( I could be wrong though)
Comments
I was so wrong. Season 2 was even better (or, at the very least, funnier) than the first.
