I've seen Jimmy Buffett, Styx (with Dennis DeYoung), Pat Benatar, Bad Company, Survivor, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the Doobie Brothers and Poison.

Among RBN artists, I had a chance to see the Apples in Stereo, but had to pass as it would have been a Sunday evening before an early work morning. I still kind of wish I'd gone, though.

Saw the majority of these bands thanks to Carolina Rebellion and Welcome to Rockville. Soundgarden headlined the Rebellion concert a couple years ago but the weather didn't cooperate and the show was cancelled despite the tickets saying it was a rain or shine event. Really bummed I didn't get a chance to see them.

I saw Linkin Park when I was a teen and just last year I saw Queens of the Stone Age and Nine Inch Nails.I've only been to two concerts... :|

A lot. Let me see. A lot of these were because I discovered them in RockBand. I like a wide variety of bands and music.

    Avenged Sevenfold
    Disturbed
    Styx
    Chicago
    Lacuna Coil
    30 Seconds to Mars
    Linkin Park
    Rush
    Deftones
    Boston
    Muse
    Three Days Grace
    AFI
    Anberlin
    Queen
    Bad Company
    Bon Jovi
    Hollywood Undead
    REO Speedwagon
    Heart
    Killswitch Engage
    Rodrigo y Gabriela
    Yes

There's more, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I am a perfect example of why bands should put their music in RockBand, because if I like it, even a little, I will usually follow that up with buying the albums and going to see them live.
  • FujiSkunkFujiSkunk Headliner
Same here, JenJen. I own a lot of music that I wouldn't have were it not for Rock Band. I can't yet claim I've been to any concerts because of Rock Band, but if I ever end up at a Killers, Modest Mouse or Amberian Dawn (or Heidi Parviainen) concert, I will.

The local rock festival is touted as Europe's largest outdoor rock festival, and so we get tons of people. Ones that I know I've seen include, in alphabetical order:
    Bryan Adams
    Alanis Morisette
    Arctic Monkeys
    The Black Keys
    Blur
    Depeche Mode
    Franz Ferdinand
    Garbage
    The Hives
    Kaiser Chiefs
    Kasabian
    Kool & the Gang
    Lenny Kravitz
    No Doubt
    Oasis (barely, see below)
    Phoenix
    R.E.M.
    Rodrigo y Gabriela
    Santana
    Smashing Pumpkins

    Fun facts:
The Cranberries were scheduled to play there, but cancelled because Dolores O'Riordan had just announced her pregnancy, I think.
Oasis played all of three songs when Liam stormed off stage, apparently due to "security reasons." From my vantage point, someone had kicked a soccer ball on stage, which he responded to kindly enough, and--more likely--this was the era when everyone and their mother apparently had those laser pointers and no impulse control.
Amy Winehouse was scheduled to play the festival the day she died. She had already cancelled a week or so ahead and so they had a replacement for her already, but that's one of those random things I'll always remember: she should've been in town.

Yup, DC area I am. The Foos are a pretty awesome band plus the other bands are a great bonus. It's cool that they chose artists from their Sonic Highways series (which is amazing if you haven't seen). Also pretty stoked to see Gary Clark Jr for the second time. FYI he's a fantastic artist if you've not listened to him. He's something like a new Jimi Hendrix. He even does a couple Hendrix covers. I would *love* to see him in Rock Band. :-)
