Thought it might be useful to create a list of bands that we haven't gotten DLC from yet but have had (possibly multiple times) on an in-game setlist.

I will update this as more bands are revealed for Rock Band 4 and I will remove any bands that later come as DLC that are on this list (also please note that I am not putting VAGIANT on the list because, if I am correct, they have renamed themselves Tijuana Sweetheart which does have several songs on RBN).

Oh, they must've gotten taken off the marketplace then.

Was the Joan Jett DLC 'Joan Jett' or 'Joan Jett & The Blackhearts?'

Correct. We've also seen RBN Konks.

    With The Blackhearts.
Oh, well I'm categorizing them as different artists seeing as there would hypothetically be different songs from each.

and nothing else shows up aside from "29 Fingers" when I search for The Konks on the legacy search page

I don't remember The Konks having RBN dlc and I own all of it.

Also, I feel bands like Tom Petty, Jimi Hendrix, and Joan Jett are close enough to be considered the same whether solo or billed with a band.

    Edit:
Also someone had a thread like this years back but it probably got borked in the move.

    Some personal opinions:

AC/DC track pack is pretty much dlc. With 18/19 songs it shouldn't be on a list like this.

Timmy obviously would never get dlc but we did get more South Park dlc, which is what it should be counted as.

Jack White would fall into what I said above about Tom Petty and such.

But like I said, those are what I would personally do with the list.

Also interesting we have two bands that have been on two discs without dlc. Given the bands I doubt we'll get dlc from them now.

    Edit:
Missed The Cure. I think they'll get dlc.
  • Pretty much every other Hmx band did. I was surprised they didn't but maybe whoever was in the band had left Hmx by that point?

Need more Ratt, Vampire Weekend, The Cure...
Wouldn't mind more Bryan adams but not a big fan.

And the Smiths and Joan Jett having one DLC song does not do them justice at all...
    :(

Reminding me of the disappointing lack of Made in Mexico DLC

I agree with this. AC/DC doesn't like singles or cherry-picking and insist that you buy the whole album. As such, the AC/DC track pack is the DLC follow-up to the RB2 on-disc song "Let There Be Rock".
  • Thanks for putting this together.. Really, this shows me there aren't too many RB "one and done" artists that I care for..

The following are the only ones I REALLY want more from

    ACDC - can't have enough
Beck - could use a few more
Bryan Adams - quite a few good songs
The Donnas - I need Fall Behind Me
INXS - quite a few good ones
Lit - a handful of good songs
Ratt - the more hair bands the better
Rolling Stones - can't have enough

They may have changed their stance on this - they are on iTunes now

Would absolutely love to see some DLC from all of these. Also I'd like to say that Radiohead has had 1 little DLC track so I'd count them in and say I would want tons of music from them if we could get it.
  • Oh my goodness, I'd stop whatever I was doing to buy Paranoid Android, The National Anthem or Bodysnatchers for Rock Band. And in the case of Bodysnatchers, Radiohead DOES fully own the rights, so... that's either easier or harder.

Can you buy singles from them on iTunes? I don't use that service at all.
  • Yeah they are available individually on iTunes
  • Technically all discs can be imported, meaning all on disc songs are Dlc.

    >:)

I wish there was more 'The Automatic' tracks.
  • I would love to see more Molly Hatchet, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and The Outlaws, all of which have popular songs that would be awesome to play, cant believe its been almost 8 years since RB1 and no DLc from these artists, 7 years for Bob Dylan.

I wish we had the original Cherry Bomb and Outlaws track, although the cover is decent. I also dig the monkees and wonder if they have any usable master tracks.

We have also never gotten any Masters for Black Sabbath, even though GH got a few

Actually, we got "Living In America" from The Sounds on the Rock Band 3 disc, and that wasn't a cover

I'll take as many more Buzzcocks songs as they can author!

Literally would throw money at the screen for any and all Radiohead albums and or DLC. Give me The Bends.

Guitar Hero got the masters of What Do I Get, so it's possible.

Black Sabbath as well. (A darn fine artist choice for the only all-cover pack we ever got.)

Wow, no idea how I missed them, especially considering that I've been frequently requesting more Interpol on the song suggestion site. Thanks for the correction.

Would love to see more Interpol in Rock Band, "Obstacle 1" would specifically be really great in Rock Band 4, I feel.
