The Dance Revealed for Harmonix Music VR

Harmonix Music VR - The Dance

Harmonix Music VR is on its way to the PlayStation® VR this October, and we’re excited to unveil a brand new world in the game: The Dance.

The Dance lets you choreograph dance moves for a cast of wacky characters. Once the party is going, the DJ booth has a handful of toys for you to play with, and Giant Mode lets you wreak havoc on the dance floor.

But wait, what is Harmonix Music VR?

Harmonix Music VR unlocks the transcendent potential of your music library. Between four different worlds, you will experience your music like never before: From a wacky dance party, to 3D reactive art, and even just hanging out on an alien beach. Check it all out in our brand new E3 trailer below:

Harmonix Music VR comes packed with 17 songs, including music from our PlayStation® cult-classic rhythm game Amplitude, the bullet-hell extravaganza A City Sleeps, and an entire album of music hand-crafted for Harmonix Music VR by Harmonix’s very own M-Cue. If 17 songs isn’t enough, Harmonix Music VR works with your entire music collection! Plug in a USB drive loaded with your favorite tracks in your PlayStation®4 to experience your music in virtual reality!

  • Who is the target demographic for this? It looks like something I'd have considered when my kids were young.

Do you have to wear a contraption on your head or can you just watch on tv to play it?
  • Neat. Sounds like DFME rekindled, but then again, I'm partial to punching at shiny things that appear on screen.

No interest in VR here, but glad to see its being supported since $500 is outrageous though... Not to mention it may end up like the vita and lose support relatively fast
  • Passing on that. Hope it does well though.
