While I don't think I'll ever get the game (I'm too poor for a smart phone, let alone for a $100 game plus additional $5 and $15 packs), I love the concept of a game based around musical mashups and remixes. As thus, I decided to list up some songs I think would be interesting for this sort of concept. I'm gonna try and include a variety here, since a theme of the game appears to be mashing up not only different songs, but entire genres as well. This should mostly be "oh well duh!" sort of choices, though I also included some out-there stuff that I think would make for interesting uses for mashups.

I love this already. I'm listening to music in a different way and hearing how different pieces could combine with other songs.

A Beatles playlist (or... 5) would be amazing. I could see mixing things like the keys to Hello Goodbye with the vocals to I Wanna Hold Your Hand to the Guitar from Something.

    Maybe.

    Keep up the good work!

I can't see there being any Beatles in this.

Check these out if you haven't already for your Beatles mashup fix:

    1) The Beatles - Love (Official album mixing together the Beatles career)
    2) The Beatles - Everyday Chemistry (google "The Beatles Never Broke Up" to get a story from another dimension where The Beatles are still together and making new Albums still. This bootleg mixtape mashes up the 4 Beatles solo material)
    3) Dangermouse (Gnarls Barkley) - Grey Album (mashes up Jay-Z's Black Album with The Beatles White Album)
    4) Soundhog - Whole Lotta Helter Skelter (Single mixing Led Zep with The Beatles)

@HMXJosh Mind telling us if those songs are from rock band or are they new songs?
    I do mind, yes.
  • That bass line from Baby Got Back

    New songs it is!

No, I'm just not confirming anything one way or the other.
  • One Way or Another confirmed thanks @HMXJosh ;)
  • Eminem - Without Me

ABBA has some good potential melody/red cards and vocals/yellows. There aren't any released versions of stems or instrumentals but maybe Harmonix could fenaggle (sp?) them out of the company that owns them (if they even exist). I'm thinking the obvious Dancing Queen (wild card?) and Mamma Mia (vocals) but also the melodies and beats to others like Lay All Your Love On Me, Gimme Gimme Gimme, Money Money Money, Waterloo, Voulez Vous, and Does Your Mother Know. (Basically any of the instrumentals on their Greatest Hits album)
  • Telephone - Lady Gaga
  • Culture Club - Karma Chameleon
    Ween - Voodoo Lady
  • I request some Tupperware Remix Party, there's enough cool parts that you could make 2 or 3 decks out of it.
Also the guitar riff from Immigrant Song
  • How about a deck with Amplitude songs? The PS2 game, that is.
  • LiveHomeVideoLiveHomeVideo Trying too hard
Went and updated the OP with what parts I'd like from each of my requests, as well as possible transitions for wildcard songs.

Both "Bring Me to Life" and "Radioactive" have been confirmed! I'm not gonna pretend I had any influence on that, but thanks still!
  • They're in the starter kit playlists, those and "Like a G6" have been the cards that we've been removing from The Blade and Highness since March. :)
  • DJ Shadow - Six Days - vocals
Fatboy Slim - Wonderful Night - vocals, keys, guitar
Hoobastank - Born to Lead - vocals, guitar, drums

Right now, I'm really hoping Harmonix picks up a bunch of obscure artists and genres that I don't know. A good DJ introduces the audience to new awesome stuff, rather than rehashing everything that was popular in the 90s and 00s, That said, I also want some witchhouse and Bauhaus' Bela Legosi's Dead (Bass, drum, vocals). Really a goth, industrial, or goth/industrial deck would be amazing too.
  • DesmodeusDesmodeus Unsigned
Really, I just want somebody from Harmonix to spend all day browsing bandcamp, wandering through all of the weird genres and maybe checking some of their blog posts.
  • Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble (wild card)
Lostprophets - Last Train Home (guitar, drums)
  • Tykki-TemeTykki-Teme Road Warrior
Unbelievable by EMF might have some potential for good cards. Maybe even proper stems as it has already featured in Rock Band.
