Since "Johnny B. Goode" is getting released this week, looks like more axing must commence!
  • Since "Johnny B. Goode" is getting released this week, looks like more axing must commence!

It's the first song off of the base game too! But regardless of that, my axe will be stained with the blood of '50's rock 'n' roll.

    I'll replace it with Maybelline.

In wake of recent events, I've garnered some extra stamina with which I will use to create a new month of fictional DLC. Today's month actually has a video game theme! Also, I'm getting a bit forgetful and mildly lazy, so if by chance I end up repeating a song, please let me know, it'd help a lot.

  • Month 36 is a special occasion... three years of Rock Band 5! The schedule has been gaining an impressive list of songs that cover everything from eerie drone metal (Sunn O))) - Aghartha) to really bizarre one hit wonders from decades long gone (too many to name). There have been several full album releases (Operation: Mindcrime, The Wall, OK Computer, In the Court of the Crimson King, Images and Worlds). Massive packs with singles nearly every week.

And now, we finally get an expansion pack. Rock Band 5: Rebellion, which adds in a fluid, adaptive new campaign set in a dystopian future where music is outlawed - and it's up to your band to fight the powers that be.

The setlist has 50 new songs to add to your library alongside a slew of improvements and additional customization options, but our main focus is going to be those fifty songs. This covers the first two weeks of normal DLC. Week 3 is a small Christmas pack and some singles, and Week 4 is a New Year's Eve pack to kick off the fourth year of Rock Band 5.

  • That is a awesome Expansion Setlist you've got there. :)

Of all of the Journey songs that isn't Don't Stop Believing or Any Way You Want It, Wheel In The Sky is one of my favorites. I would love to see it in Rock Band, even though, getting Journey again is impossible with Harmonix's current financial state. Same goes for Guns'N Roses songs from Appetite For Destruction and Led Zeppelin as well. But I would love to be surprised if they actually gotten some of those songs though. :)

And I'm surprised that Harmonix didn't gotten A Perfect Circle as of yet, The Outsider is a song from their discography that I loved, and would like to see. Hopefully, we'll get that and Judith eventually. Same can be said for Foo Fighter's No Way Back and The Safety Dance (Another New Wave classic that we've should've gotten a while back during Rock Band 3's time). Hopefully No Way Back and The Safety Dance will make it into Rock Band 4 eventually. :)

Interesting to see Peter, Paul, and Mary and MacArthur Park (the original one, not the cover by Donna Summer) in this setlist. I'm looking forward to seeing more songs from this thread. :)

Aaaand speaking of OK Computer, looks like Karma Police will have to get axed!

So will "The Sign" by Ace of Base. How 'bout that.

Harmonix, you're killing me here (ironically as I'm figuratively killing songs Shining-style)!

My axe now smells of the blood of '90's music, thanks to them. I've replaced The Sign with All That She Wants. Karma Police will not be replaced and instead be given the status of "previously released but you can buy it now in a different way if you didn't already."
