That Chesney Hawkes prediction is from way outta left field, but I'll take it!

I'm going to guess that HMX hacked into my iPod and decided to add the song from the 90s listed as "Most Played" that we don't already have.

Much to my surprise, that would be a song by "Brutal Juice", from their album "Mutilation Makes Identification Difficult".

    Hmmm. Seems unlikely.

OK, I'll just go with "a song from Interscope Records", now that actually has a chance of being an accurate guess.
  • Derek already said there's only 1 00s week (2000-2005) this month.
  • Then the last two Weekly Challenges being 2006-2009 and 2010s is confirmed. Looks like we're getting a 10th Anniversary week for the 5th Challenge after all. :)

@V8VANTAGE Sk8ter Boi came out in 2002, in case you've forgotten that fact. ;)

Changing my Predictions based on the fact that 2000-2005 is the last week of this month.

    90's Week (Week 3)
    - Len - Steal My Sunshine (Spotlight Pass Song)
    - Pearl Jam - Alive (Studio Version, Rock Band 2 Rewind)

Rock Band 10th Anniversary Week (Rock Band 10th Anniversary Pack, Week 4)
    - Boston - Don't Look Back (Spotlight Pass Song)
    - David Bowie - Suffragette City (Rock Band Rewind)
    - Fall Out Boy - Immortals
    - Foo Fighters - Everlong (Rock Band 4 Rewind)
    - Hole - Malibu
    - The Killers - When You Were Young (Rock Band Rewind)
    - Rush - Headlong Flight
    - Stone Temple Pilots - Plush (Rock Band 3 Rewind (I already have this though)
    - Weezer - Say It Ain't So (Rock Band Rewind)
    - Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Heads Will Roll

    2000-2005 Week (Week 5)
    - Audioslave - Cochise (Spotlight Pass Song)
    - Jimmy Eats World - The Middle (Rock Band 2 Rewind)

Whatever comes for 90s Week, I'm looking forward to it. (Though, I would be really happy if it's something White Whale-ish like Paranoid Android (Radiohead) or Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve), but that's just me imagining it (Because I know both of those songs are impossible to get, with Harmonix's current state, financial wise).

Love it (although I would put One Headlight into Fear Land).
  • Hopeland:

    Paranoid Android
    November Rain
    Tonight, Tonight

If we got any of those it would be "Oh ****!! land"

Mmbop and Livn' La Vida Loca are songs I'd definitely buy. Hell, I'd buy pretty much any Backstreet Boys or which came our way whilst we're on 90s cheese.
  • I've wanted Backstreet Boys' I Want it That Way since forever.

Same. Backstreet Boy pack @HMXOwl ?

There are people who don't like this song?!

That was always my hunch that Thanksgiving week would take a break from the decades and be devoted to the 10th anniversary.

While the actual day does fall into challenege 4, it's much more about the week it came out on (it came out Thanksgiving week 10 years ago), and I suspect the announcement will happen on the anniversary day (Monday), with the songs coming out Tuesday or Wednesday.
  • MmmBop and Gonna Make You Sweat/U Can't Touch This would all make for easy Spotlight Pass picks too; get that holiday money :p
  • I just know not to get excited if I see Weezer today because it will be "Say It Ain't So."

Remember, set your phasers to John Drake's empty stare and you'll be good

And yes people, that thread title is correct.

The Return is happening! (No, not that band)
  • So there we are, challenge 4 is confirmed to be 90s and has the return of Radiohead after almost 10 years of nothing so go completely crazy on 10th anniversary predictions.
  • So go completely crazy on predictions.

So, basically an average week for you ;)

    (OK, I'll stop throwing shade)

    A 90s week.

OK Computer full album confirmed /s

Only if we get Kid A the week after.
Jus' wanna quote this again now that we actually got a song from OK Computer this week.

So, next week: Optimistic, Idioteque, or Everything In Its Right Place?

I already have my "crazy" prediction for next week. I'm not going to post it in fear that it might not come true though.

Radiohead is a RB1 artist so maybe. I'd want Optimistic the most out of those 3 but they're all solid picks.

I think I respect Radiohead more than I like them (though I like them quite a lot). It's almost like I feel unworthy of truly being one of their biggest fans. They are brilliant, clearly one of the most talented bands of their era and still quite relevant today. I don't know that they are a good match for the Rock Band game (especially without keys) ... and yet, there are easily 10 of their songs that would work GREAT in the game. I hope we see even more of them in the future [if the masters they use come with full stems, of course].
  • tnevakertnevaker Road Warrior
a lot of their stuff (especially the post-OKC stuff) wouldn't work so well in RB, but paranoid android would be one of the greatest RB tracks ever.

    I predict Travelling Wilburys

I would love to have the whole first album, but that is unlikely.

    So instead I will predict:

    Traveling Wilburys Pack 01

    Handle With Care

    End Of The Line

    Last Night
