December 2017 DLC Prediction Thread: "Season's" Greetings

You know what would be fantastic, a Foo Fighters 20 pack:
    Big Me
    Alone + Easy Target
    For All the Cows
    Generator
    Next Year
    Low
    Have It All
    No Way Back
    Cold Day in the Sun
    Let It Die
    Dear Rosemary
    White Limo
    Arlandria
    Back & Forth
    A Matter of Time
    Miss the Misery
    I Should Have Known
    Congregation
    Outside
    The Sky is a Neighborhood

Maybe swap a few of the pre-2011 singles for pre-2011 deep cuts. Also on the side would be the 3 rewinds as its own pack:
    Everlong (rewind)
    Learn to Fly (rewind)
    Breakout (rewind)

Conspicuous by its absence is I Am a River. I'd love to have Floaty, too.
  • ...

See, that doesn't mean then post another 20-pack.

I guess it's you we fell into.

You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet. *cue 20 packs of BTO*.

I had to put the rest of Wasting Light in there, my favourite Foo Fighters album is either that or The Colour and the Shape.

Unless it's a 20-pack, not everyone's gonna be happy. And even then...

In my Ultimate Setlist DLC Schedule, I actually DO have an ABBA 20-pack (well, a track pack) and can confirm, had to make some difficult cuts.

More Vampire Weekend would be a dream. It's such a bummer that we aren't getting many packs these days, especially from bands, and definitely not from relatively "smaller" bands like VW (who still pull in 2.8M Spotify listeners a month after over four years without new material).

    Something like:

    A-Punk
    Cousins
    Diane Young

would cover their entire discography, feature a rewind, and be fun as heck.

I'd love Diane Young for guitar but I feel like the pitch shifting would make it impossible to mimic naturally on vocals, unless they just make the extremely high and low parts talkies.

Throw in "Told You So" and you have a 3 pack and a deal.

Would be cool to get deep cuts off Riot but I don't foresee it.

For a Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic being one.

I wasn't sure what to expect from their new album (it took me a few listens to warm up to the new sonic direction of those first few singles), but the album turned out to be fantastic. Those first two singles that baffled me so are probably now my two favourites of the album, but the entire thing is pretty darn good.

"Hard Times" and "Told You So" would be the obvious picks, and would be so darn fun to play in RB, but I'd take "Fake Happy" or "Rose-Colored Boy" or "Idle Worship" too.

  • RB is nearing a major position change for most songs on the platform, currently the top 5 is:
    Green Day - 52
Jimi Hendrix/The Jimi Hendrix Experience - 34 (33 if you count the 2 versions of Fire as 1)
    Foo Fighters - 33
    Queen - 28
Red Hot Chili Peppers - 28 (though currently only SIEA can access them all in RB4)

All of these. And may I sneak in a chance for 26 : )

If we're going to do a ABBA 20-pack, then let's do it right. :)

    ABBA Essentials 01
    - Chiquita
    - Dancing Queen
    - Does Your Mother Know?
    - Fernando
    - Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)
    - I Have a Dream
    - Knowing Me, Knowing You
    - Lay All Your Love on Me
    - Mamma Mia
    - Money, Money, Money
    - The Name of the Game
    - One of Us
    - SOS
    - Summer Night City
    - Super Trouper
    - Take a Chance On Me
    - Thank You For The Music
    - Voulez-Vous
    - Waterloo
    - The Winner Takes All

And as an added bonus, this pack also comes with Anni-Frid Lyngstad's solo career hit, I Know There's Something Going On, as a single.

That will surely make everyone happy.

No The Day Before You Came?

I’m a make a Khaleesi clue for one of this week's songs.

EDIT: Stupid text-to-speech, not being used at all in this post.

    You're at a payphone
    Trying to call home

Hope you didn't spend too much change on this clue

Maybe Payphone, Maps, and She Will Be Loved as spotlight song?

But I doubt we'd get a pack without a single from the new album.

It's What Game Devs Do (SZA is the only good thing about that song)

Run showed us non-RBVR songs by an artist doesn't necessarily have to be released alongside or after the RBVR song by that artist so we may end up with a singles week where Payphone is the only Maroon 5 song.

Different case imo. One of those is a rewind (which I still think a big rewind pack is coming) while the other hasn't yet reached RB proper.
  • I'm pretty sure it's Payhone, but it could possibly be Hello by Adele

It should be noted that "Telephone" is Lady Gaga's eighth-biggest hit... and we have her top seven.

However, the "Tallest Buildings" clue from last round -> Burj Khalifa -> Wiz Khalifa, and now this ... either Payphone this week is a slam dunk lock, or Loopy is deliberately setting elaborate coincidental red herrings.

Whatever song is in spotlight is likely to be my 900th song playable in RB4. Still holding out hope that this week is mixed 2010s singles, and that Feel It Still is the one in spotlight.
  • Wouldn't another 10s only week have made more sense last week? I mean if we have 2 10s weeks it would make more sense to have the pre-2017 songs in the first week and then the 2017 songs this week.

Really weird thought (of never happening) is a pack involving Wiz in all the songs

But it's not 4/20 yet XD

    Black and Yellow
    Payphone
    See You Again

Maybe they preferred the split to be rock-charters versus 'hot'-charters - they figured people's likelihood to buy a pack of 201x songs was based more of whether they are fans of rock, rather than arbitrary calendar ordering.

I wasn't thinking about the actual contents changing, rather if there were 2 10s weeks it looking like this:
    - 12/7 - 10s week which contains at least 1 pre-2017 song
    - 12/14 - 2017 week (Song #3, Run, The Way You Used to Do)
