I'm no good at predictions, and this is basically just a wishlist until we know the theme of this upcoming season of Rivals.

    3/1:

From The Ashes Of The RBN 01:

    Creed - "Higher"
    Drowning Pool - "Bodies"
    Finger Eleven - "Paralyzer"

    3/8:

This Is The Song I Wish We Had Gotten Instead 01:

    Cracker - "Low"
    Snow Patrol - "Chasing Cars"
    Liz Phair - "Why Can't I?"

    3/15:

Oops, We Missed A Song 01:

Ozzy Osbourne - "Shot in the Dark"
Stone Temple Pilots - "Sour Girl"
The Who - "The Real Me"

    3/22:

These Songs All Have The Word B**** In Them 01:

    Buckcherry - "Crazy B****"
    Meredith Brooks - "B****"
Hall & Oates - "Rich Girl"

    3/29:

    Acoustic Guitar Extravaganza 01:

    The Lumineers - "Ho Hey"
    Peter Gabriel - "Solsbury Hill"
Rusted Root - "Send Me on My Way"

    What are realistic expectations?
These would be some great weeks.
  • 90's Alternative One Hit Wonders
    -Superdrag - "Sucked Out"
    -Nada Surf - "Popular"
    -Nerf Herder - "Van Halen"

    HELL YEAH to Popular.

Surprised the band Rainbow doesn't get mentioned very often in these totally realistic predictions. I'd be thrilled if we got a ten-pack (the optimum number!), but a four pack of Man On the Silver Mountain, Stargazer, Since You Been Gone, and Run With the Wolf would also be more than satisfactory.

Good Call.. I just requested Man On The Silver Mountain a few days ago - Great song with a great guitar riff.
  • Any metal would be nice, not too much of it recently. :)

I'd love to get my hands on some Vektor and Death in terms of modern metal. Tons of their songs would be absolute joys to play, though I could make that claim for many other mildly-obscure metal bands. To be honest, I'm tired of our metal being mostly just the same few artists, despite them being artists I like (with the exception of Megadeth, I'll take any and all Megadeth since they're one of my favorite metal bands and the one that truly got me into the genre as a whole).

"Peace Sells" is a bit overdue for a rewind as well, considering we have the rest of the album it's from. It seems odd to have everything but that in the store.
  • I would love to get "Sober Up" by AJR (Featuring Rivers Cuomo)
  • I think HMX handled metal extremely well in season 4, a very nice change from the normal approach.

I agree with everything you said! Is Death obscure? I would love that in the game! Now that RBN is gone, some Cynic would be nice as well. So many bands still not in the game. There's a lot of great music out there!

Unless they’re a metal band on the level of Five Finger Death Punch or Avenged Sevenfold, they’re obscure in RB4 era DLC.

    I just lost all hope.

I think this is the month that we get not only Bear Hands DLC, but a Bear Hands themed taunt as well!

_____________ beat your score on "Starship Trooper" and suggested you "stop requesting Bear Hands DLC!"

Replace this with Coldplay and we're good

Keep that positive attitude! I'll continue it with.. we have a high chance of getting Bear Hands than we do Zeppelin DLC! Such a bright outlook! :) :D

I thought Coldplay requests got you instabanned. I don’t like how much Derek keeps bending the rules.

Not to spin things out of control but I actually heard Giants by Bear Hands on the radio today.
  • TheStuddzTheStuddz Lil Rascal
All radio stations should be mandated to play "Giants" by Bear Hands once a day.

Nope, they get instapushed up the schedule by a month. ;)
  • As soon as the list began with freakin' Abominable Putridity I knew it would be heavy.
  • If RBVR isn't completed by the 1 year anniversary, I could see Alive possibly appearing near to whenever the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction is this year. HMX did a DLC release and challenge tie-in for that last year.

Well, since I have a habit of compiling long lists of stuff that probably doesn't need to be compiled, I've tried to compile a comprehensive list of metal/hard rock artists that either lack songs or would benefit from having more songs. I tried to span as many subgenres as I could, and cover as many acts as I could. Heck, we could make a whole thread revolving around these artists, if we wanted.

It is a bit skewed towards to what I like, but I enjoy generally every metal subgenre, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Abominable Putridity

Spell checker does not like this list in the slightest...

Lists are fun.. I'm totally in for the 80's-era hair metal on your list.. I could list a ton I'd want from each of these bands, but I'll try to keep it brief and/or obvious:

    Bulletboys Smooth Up In Ya
    Cinderella - Shake Me
    Danzig - Mother
David Lee Roth - Yankee Rose, Just Like Paradise
Enuff ZNuff - Fly High Michelle
    Dokken - Its Not Love
Great White - House of Broken Love, Rock Me
Judas Priest - NEED some off Turbo for sure - like 5 of them.
    Kix - Cold Blood
Lita Ford - Kis Me Deadly
Megadeth - I'd take Angry Again, but I'm admittedly not a huge fan overall.
Motley Crue - Looks That Kill, Shout At The Devil & lots more
    Queensryche - Jet City Woman
    Ratt - Lay It Down
Skid Row - We've had a great recent run - I'll take Monkey Business & Big Guns next.
Tesla - Modern Day Cowboy, Love Song
Warrant - Down Boys, Uncle Toms Cabin
White Lion - Little Fighter, Wait
Whitesnake - Still of the Night

I think we have Still of the Night, if we're not mistaken. I'd definitely take Is This Love and Fool For Your Loving.
